Could we see some of the code for the russian trans script? Also you may want to try taking out some of the more complicated code and just attempting to change dialog with a simple command. Like where you used the menu to choose.

Could it be that when the language picker comes up in the actual game, instead of using $ renpy.change_language(None) you use persistent.lang?

Can some of you post what you thought of this game?
