I on the other hand, deal with problems like these differently. If I lack someone to do something (such as me back when I lacked BG), I continue working on what needs to be done on my side, as according to plan. Since the story is so large, I must continue writing and translating it without stopping...

It's been decided that the engine will be call PAL... No...just kidding. We've agreed on Paths. Distribution and copyright: Until official incorporation of CWDS, the engine will be limited freeware, only distributed with permission of both Doug Steele and me. Afterwards a license fee may incur. now....

No. That's SOZAI (reference material) from our site. This is...if you've watched AIR...the shopping street by the coast. And regarding our BG...we're actually around F&C's level. Go play some F&C games (e.g. Canvas) and you'll know. I've specified a style similar to that. Our artist can CG.

I dunno. Soon people will be ironically quoting that, indicating how limited gaming culture was back in the 90's-millenium era.

Be prepared to see change in the next 5 years. Definitely going to be.

[CWDS-CitB] Engine name?

To Taleweaver & everyone else; Doug and I have been discussing (while I'm working like hell) what the engine name should be called, for we've been working on the project while calling the engine "the engine" or "the proggie" (and worse). It's about time we give a decent name ...

Well, technically CWDS' project would not be hindered by FoxTailes...provided he isn't using our artists... Engine. He is only using our engine. Our still-in-development-yet-to-dub-a-name engine. For now, we're thinking of dubbing it something...I suggest an acronym. And preferably a unique or easy-...

Like the AVG engine (Kanon, AIR etc.), the script files are on separate files, and the last line of each script file with choices are equipped with a JUMP or CHOICE code to go into separate directions. As for DNML... They use HTML's Link anchor and bookmark system. So choices are like A HREF=somewhe...

Not just MMORPGs, OLD GAMES. Games produced 3 to 5 years ago have a lot of punch when it comes down to walking down the mall into an EB and suddenly picking up Shogun: Total War for only CDN$5... (Yes, it was intentional that the previous sentence had no commas :D) Oh man, the addiction of distracti...

I tried HTML, I tried several game-makers and I put quite a lot of time into learning those programs (before I realized they were not suited well and so on) There is a similar...no, TWO similar engines that use HTML-like language for script... My engine (CWDS-engine V.3.x) and DNML (A Japanese engi...

Details of my event can be found http://www.deca.org/publications/HS_Guide/EBP-ENW2005.pdf. Basically, a proposal for a new or existing business and a request for financing. While I admit my plan is not perfect (and not error-free), it still managed a little something. This field is a very unique on...

2. Kinetic novel, personally, I would change to "Linear Novel". When I think kinetic, I think of motion. Considering the definition is a straight forward story without branches, "Linear Novel" would be a more apt description, imo. It's an euphemism. Linear sounds bland. The Japa...

[PJ] A little troubled - perspectives (not visual)

Since my novel version is obviously written in 3rd person perspective, should the VN version also be in 3rd person? As far as I know, only minori's "Bittersweet Fools" used 3rd person perspective. So which one should I use? (For those who don't know...) 1st person: As I woke up, the door t...
