Autolabelling for Save and Restore?
On the commerical VN's I've read/played, there is usually an ability to save a file at a particular page so you can start right back where you left off. In Ren'Py (at least from what I've seen in the demo code), it appears you have to set a label for a section to be able to restore to that point. Is...

One other site to consider if you're looking for free photographs is:
http://www.flickr.com
You can search there for photos that have Creative Commons Licenses. That is how some of my photos came to be used in an online travel guide (no money, but the occasional visitor...)
Hope this helps,
Ewan

Senior Year Is Started...
OK, since no one around my neck of the woods would probably understand why I'm excited... Finally got my first simple script written. Pulls up my splash screen, waits two seconds (is there an option to wait for a click before going on if you don't have any dialog up? Maybe I should just have the spl...

It sounds like you've got a good idea as far as cast of characters and settings. Thanks! One thing I am curious of is if you were influenced by the *school dating sims* that are out there, or if this is something you wanted to do on your own, and just chose the traditional school setting for it. Ob...

OK, so obviously the first step was to get a little bit more into what story I want to tell, and how I want to tell it. :D Basic setup is that you have a fellow who is in his last year of college, and starting to think about more than just graduating. He's dated casually through college, but never a...

Appreciate the answers so far, as well as the link to the comparison topic. While that didn't cover Flash, I'm not personally convinced that is a viable option anyway :-) How complex is your storyline? Will it be a simple branching story, or are you going to use variables to track and calculate whet...

Newbie Alert - Please help me stop pulling at my hair...
I keep my hair too short to pull it out, hence the title :D OK, I've got the story I want to program, and the basics of the decision tree I want to follow, and I'm trying to get good enough at drawing (with a LOT of help from Manga Studio's templates) to actually do the art. Unfortunately, I spent m...
