Variables and the Text function

I would like to use:

Code: Select all

show expression Text("It's day %(day)d.", yalign=0.5, xalign=0.5, drop_shadow=(2, 2)) as text with dissolve
to display the day- but it doesn't interpret the variable "day"...

Alright- that makes 22 games in the making for NaNoRenO, and 2 games for IntRenAiMo. If everyone finishes, the Ren'ai archives will be bolstered by over 45 percent- that would be phenomenal.

If I'm not mistaken...(through my past conversation), it looks like Mr. E. is doing NaNoRenO. Mr. E. please correct me if I'm wrong. The other IntRenAiMo I was referring to was monele and myself (MagBou...hope it qualifies). Just by the bye. I think there's going to be at least one IntRenAiMo entry...

ummm... this seems quite anticlimactic, but has NaNoRenO started? I guess I misunderstood how the death clock works... maybe? Or maybe this computer is weird. The death clock says
The Death Clock: NaNoRenO ends when April begins.
NaNoRenO begins when less than 31 days remain on the clock

Can I use that NaNo logo as part of my game? Probably somewhere in the intro and then in the credits (with credit, of course!), if that's okay! Hey- that sounds like a really nice idea. Make the NaNoRenO games really stand out as what they are. Snow Puma said we were free to go ahead and use it, so...

By the way, you guys could use a real logo. I threw this one together yesterday and, if you guys want to, you can feel free to use it. Sorry- I didn't mean to ignore this. Looks nice. If Misu would like to add it to the layout of the webpage, then awesome. Won't really be able to do it myself thoug...

Which would be better/easier to use to make a visual novel? ONScripter or Ren'Py? I don't know crap about programming and I've never done anything like this before so... Or is there any other suggestions? And now for a completely unfounded opinion- Definitely go with Ren'Py. I've never even taken a...
