Re: Word choice: Maou vs Maoh
I personally prefer the Maou version. The ou in Maou means king. It's the same as the Ou in Oujo (a way of saying princess, I suppose) and Ouji (prince). I wouldn't write Ouji-sama as Ohji-sama, so I wouldn't write Maou and Maoh. It doesn't actually even matter that much. I would actually suggest yo...

Re: Shout For Joy, Share Your Happiness
I'm a lazy piece of trash. BUT, I found the answer keys for my summer homework! Bless!
(Haha, it's going to come and bite my later on, but for now... whew, no need to worry about messing up and not finishing.)

Uneven character endings
I've seen that many people seem not to like 'true endings' because of how it seems to make all the other endings pointless or because of length/content disparities. However, what about differences between the 'good'-ness of a character's endings? What is your opinion on a visual novel where one char...

Re: ADVaNCE Visual Novel Zine 01 now out!
Awesome! It looks great. It was rather fun to read too. (I don't mean to be that kid who complains... but...) The formatting is a little... It might have just been me, but I feel like the font between articles was not constant. Also, there was often a lot of white space in some of the sections, espe...

Re: The Illness Called Love [GXG][Romance][horror][yandere][
It's yuri! I'm in. Haha, and I'm pretty interested in horror and yandere in a yuri game too. That's pretty new. Sakiko, Yoko, Katsumi, Kazashi. That's the order I think I'm interested in the girls in. Suki seems like an interesting main character, but that's just from the blurb description. While I ...

Re: People Interested in creating KNs?
I find that KN are slightly harder to do the whole self-insert thing that many visual novels like to do. The whole blank slate character that the player can fit into and mold. After all, there aren't any choices there. I like KN though. They're rather great. They kind of take the stress of making ch...

Re: The VN or The KN?
I like both, but it's rather hard to say. I'll accept either one, but I suppose I do prefer KN more (unless it's the generic school life thing). When you give me some sort of ultra amazing story with an unique setting and wow stuff, I would prefer a KN more because it's easier to get all the facts a...

Re: StoryDevs — a site for finding VN devs
When you implement the different profile types (writer, musician, etc.), what would you do for the people who do more than one thing? (like a writer and an artist)
Btw, I'm interested. Seems like a good idea.

Re: Stupid Question
H2O -Footprints in the Sand would be an example of a visual novel featuring a blind protagonist (though apparently, he gets his sight back depending on the route) (and also, apparently, when he's blind, you still get to see an image of the characters--just in black and white and what he "thinks...

Re: Carpe Diem: Reboot [Romance][Drama]
I haven't quite read the original Carpe Diem so I can't comment on anything that's plot related right now. For CG prices, I'm guessing that instead of doing commissions, for big games, people might just outright hire someone to do the CG for them. I'm pretty sure that a lot of artists will give disc...

Re: No space for characters in plot
The idea that you have makes me think of those RPG fantasy types of worlds, though I can't say for certain. With that in mind, I would think about the people who would be around the sorcerer-in-training. Like: the actual sorcerer, random NPC shopkeeper, magical familiar, the hero, prince, etc. What ...

Common Route length
What specific things do you hate/like about the length of common routes? As in: Do you dislike having a long wait between choices? (A lot of stuff happening and not getting that many choices to make) What do you think is the optimal length for a common route? And, extra: what is your opinion on comm...

Re: [Interest Check] Fallen Bloom Otome Game
China! Yay! I'm definitely interested in it. While I'm not super into otome games (I prefer chasing girls... that sounds weird, but yea), if you do happen to make this, I'd play it. I'd like it if you kept to Chinese names for everything. (You just kind of have to choose one thing or another. I'm fi...

Re: How do you come up with ideas?
Take things you've seen or interesting events that have happened in your life and simplify them down to a concept and then start elaborating there. I personally have a bunch of random dreams and use them for inspiration. Half of them are self-insert fanfic where I'm the self insert, but they have so...
