Re: Can I really call my game a VN?

So, I would like to know what you guys expect from a VN? Does my game consider as one? If you want to call your project a visual novel, then my response would be "sure, go ahead." If you prefer some other term (story-driven game? narrative game?), then I will continue to say "sure, g...

Re: Love Hues [LGBT+ friendly][College-Life][Mystery][Rating TBD/18+ for now]

If a visual novel features complex gameplay, then I won't worry too much if the protagonist has a personality. However, if it's a story with occasional choices, then I will prefer a protag who is a memorable character. In other words, a person who is flawed, thoughtful, amusing, proactive, and so on...

Re: When creating the story...

If I do that, the characters can't interact with each other except the MC and the girl; and I don want that since the spark of Key VNs is how the characters bond with each other. If non playable characters interact with each other, then it should help make sure that the story doesn't seem to revolv...

Re: Summoned [Kinetic][Comedy][BxG][41k Demo][Trailer][16+]

I realize that there are a number of reasons why a project like this may not fully appeal to the Lemmasoft community. But I believe in it. I love this story, and I think if you decide to lend me 2 hours of your time, there's a solid chance you'll at least have some fun (although if you HATE swearin...

Re: This style for a visual novel?

What's your opinion on a visual novel with this type of art? My first thought is "sure, why not." I like most categories of drawn art. Here are some more detailed musings... * The Veronica character isn't especially exaggerated or realistic. I tend to prefer drawings of characters whose a...

1. What are your impressions of the characters and which character are you most interested in? Right now, I'm Team Elphia. Based on her character description, I think I would relate to her. I admit that it's because I have had trouble relating to other people, so I have delved into all kinds of fic...

Re: LEGEND ♦ OF ♦ AORAI [G ♡ B][Otome][Fantasy] -KICKSTARTER NOW LIVE!-

https://image.ibb.co/miZmc5/LOA_Summary.png The premise reminds me of Fushigi Yugi . I followed this story in Viz's monthly Animerica Extra magazine from about 1998 to 2002. It was not bad. However, I slowly lost interest in it. After a number of traumatic events, and major characters experiencing ...

With a necklace at the heart of her longing, she returns in her memories to the glitz and glamour of the 1920s as a beautiful 22 year old whose only worry in life was the day's entertainment, before the shadow of the Depression fell, and no one was left unscathed. I like the premise, but I have a c...

Re: Monster Prom [BxG GxG BxB][multiplayer][adult humor]

When I saw your project last year, I liked that it seemed ambitious, and that it had a distinct cartoonish aesthetic. One of my concerns was "Will this project slowly fade away during development, and never be finished?" More than a few work-in-progress VNs have promised to change fandom f...

Re: Necrobarista [urban fantasy, suspense]

Your project has a positive article on USGamer . [*]Visuals question: what do you think of the 3D graphics and animations presented in the trailer? It's an interesting point of difference. However, it leaves me with three concerns... 1. I have worried that this project is too ambitious, and that it ...

Re: Tales From Windy Meadow [Fantasy/Pixel Art/Drama]

The text-based narration is going to be replaced by various animations, limiting the on-screen text almost exclusively to dialogues. Sounds like an interesting idea. I'm sure you can think of many quality films, comics, and games which convey information through visuals. Challenge yourself to see h...

Re: [KICKSTARTER][Demo] Beach☆Volley!! (Mushi)

Your game reminds me quite a bit of Dead or Alice Xtreme Beach Volleyball . It was made fourteen years ago on the original Xbox, and it featured not-too-realistic volleyball gameplay. Unlike your game, it featured 3D polygon graphics, and it was kind of, sort of a girl x girl romance game. As of thi...

Re: Somnova Studios Presents: Missing Stars

There's a positive update on this project -- the Missing Stars team has just released a short story collection called Overture . I first heard about Missing Stars over five years ago. I've become concerned about whether this work-in-progress will be finished, or whether it will be quietly canceled. ...

Re: Serious anime without "adult themes"

Master Keaton was adapted into a TV series in the late '90s. It has a number of aspects that I like... * Competent characters over the age of 25 * The main character travels extensively * The series does not try to shock the audience through violence, gore, or death That said, if you don't enjoy ep...

Re: Name my game

The Persistence of Sanity . This is a blatant reference to Salvador Dali's painting, which shows a horrifying, desolate world of melting clocks. In my opinion, the painting implies that something awful has happened, and that the world no longer makes sense. (I searched the web for this title. It se...
