Re: Skin [Sci-Fi] [2013]
I like the concept, looking forward to see what you come up with. From my understanding, it seems like the characters are going to change appearances several times, and possibly deal with the consequences of that, identity, or something like that? Anyway, sounds interesting, curious as to what direc...

Re: The Motorist(working title)[Mystery?][Supernatural?][NaN
A very happy Amorphous has realized, after finally dabbling in Ren'py for the first time, that GUI customization is welcomingly like CSS. So after a quarter-day of experimenting, I managed to create a decent GUI. (background is not mine, was released into public domain on our CC forum, but I might r...

Re: Dev Hard 3: Dev Hard With a Schedule
Actually, now that Nanoreno has started, might be a good idea to get back into this. Previous: Haha, names are hard. I keep shooting down everything I come up with. I'll keep thinking. :/ New Goal: Finish writing the first route for Motorist (final script) Timeframe: March 4-5 Initial Progress: Firs...

Hey, the premise sounds interesting! Looking forward for completion! :) Thanks! Hope I can make the final product as interesting as the premise. Anyway, wrote some more script today, Ghost's narration is coming along quite nicely. At about 2000 words right now. Here's a rough sketch of Ghost on her...

Invisible Paths [Mystery?][Supernatural?][NaNo13]
Hey, it's March! (and I'm a bit late with this topic...) And seeing that I have yet to make a visual novel, not a bad time for me to make my first one. And, after a week of terribly overdone soul-searching, it finally has a title! http://i.imgur.com/8AWtHHy.png Notes This isn't a KN. There will be a...

Re: Discussion: Protagonists and showing them?
Am I the only one here who doesn't see anything wrong with an 'invisible' protagonist (or at least one that doesn't appear except in CGs or perspective switches?) Although if you're going to use an invisible protagonist, I don't think it's so that the player can project themselves onto the protagoni...

Re: What kind of Fiction should You write? 5.0! [Quiz game ]
I got 'Literature' for mine...I'm not entirely sure what Literature even is, but considering that I never really write with a genre in mind (and tend to just let things happen as they happen in my stories), I guess that's accurate? Full score was: Historical - 1 Science Fiction - 2 Literature - 4 Fa...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
I have so many things to get done before the end of the month AAAAAAHHHHH...granted, it is all my own fault, but that doesn't make me less stressed out. Besides schoolwork: 1. I've still got an essay to write for this application I'm doing...I managed to revise most of the post-Batman-depressing ess...

Re: Advice Needed When Working with a Composer
This is coming from the perspective of a composer, so it might not reflect what your composer is looking for. But for me, this is what I've noted about my own work with others: 1. Reference tracks are really useful. It is easier to describe pictures than music, and oftentimes descriptions for music ...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...
What the heck is going on these last few posts? Sleep deprived brain is confused... Anyway, speaking of sleep deprivation, I've just spent the last 4 hours writing a bunch of essays for this application due at the end of the month. Except I ended up trying to procrastinate with Batman comics (not th...

Glad you guys like them! If you do end up using the tracks anywhere, feel free to PM me a link to the project; I'll gladly check it out. While I'm still here, let's have some more music: Recollection.zip It's just one song this time, although the forum doesn't allow attaching of MP3s. Recollection's...

Re: To Girls: Concerning games lacking Female Perspective
There seems to be a prevalent view that you can make a female character more physically stronger, tomboyish and generally a "badass" and that this will result in her being a strong character. Then people are confusing being physically / mentally strong with being a well-developed characte...

Re: Dev Hard 3: Dev Hard With a Schedule
Previous goals were met and done. This might be a silly-sounding timeframe, but this is probably going to actually be the hardest part of my project: Goal: Settle on a working (hopefully good enough to be final in case it sticks) name for my project. Timeframe: Feb 23 - Feb 27 (Yes I am giving mysel...

I managed to completely not understand this thread until now. Let's see how I fare in the scheme of things:
Goals:
-Create 3 pieces of concept art for enemies in personal project
-Finish plot outline for Nanoreno project
Time-frame: 2/22
Progress: Done!

Re: Working Solo or ...
I work solo practically all the time, if only because I tend to work at a pace faster than most of my friends are willing to put up with. There's also the fact that I tend to prefer not to work with people I haven't met in real life, at least not until I'm pretty confident in my own abilities.
