Re: Cafe Latte (Working Title) [Slice of Life][Steampunky]

I think Earl Grey maxed his level of sex appeal o.o I'm really looking forward to this game ^.^ 1) Would you like to be a tester? It isn't often I get this excited over projects like this. I'd love to be a tester. 2) Are you normally interested in short stories only 9000 words long, or do you tend t...

[CC0] BG Music Loops

These were created during a recent game jam, and were used as background tracks in various situations. While they are quite simple, I find them enjoyable enough, and I hope they can be useful to someone else ^^ All of these loops are licensed under CC0 1.0 , and can be used for any purpose (commerci...

Re: Music is Everything [GxB][KN][Classical Music]

Thanks for the grammar check ^__^ I will work on it :) I don't have length for each route yet but maybe an hour or less will do :) Fun. Shorter stories have a certain appeal to them (imo). One again, I'm looking forward to this ^^ If you can use any help with proofreading in the future, please let ...

Re: Music is Everything [GxB][KN][Classical Music]

I love music-oriented VNs, especially of this sub-genre. The game looks cute and I'm looking forward to stalking its progress ^^ 1. Will you play the game if it is finished? I'm looking forward to it ^^ 2. Do you have any suggestions or comments? Some of the opening post needs work with grammar. For...

Re: Silver [Army][Drama][Slice of Life]

1) Who is your favorite character ? I'm not sure I can claim a favourite, on account of the character descriptions being a bit vague. I'd like to know more - especially about the something that Silver is protecting. 2) The uniforms are plain. Does it bother you ? Should I add more details ? I think...

Re: Dark text, or light text--Which is better?

I find light text on dark backgrounds easier to read. I think black and gold or grey (as Enigma mentioned) is a comfortable contrast.

Granted, if a light background compliments the story's mood better then I prefer it over a dark background. Both are readable, dark is just easier.

Re: How many people play with sound?

It depends on the focus. If it's a traditional visual novel with no flashy mechanics, then I almost always play with sound. I like to immerse myself in the story's environment, and sound is a big part of that for me. On the other hand, if the focus of the VN is less on story and more about other ele...

Re: Does a game's logo help?

Cover art, screenshots, and video footage have a huge effect, though. I agree with Tyrantauranox. Materials that give insight into the game's content have a much larger impact than does a logo, and should be prioritized as such. A logo just helps with promotion, and can get potential consumers of y...

Live2d sounds like a lot of work o.o I like both of the styles you showed though ^.^ The cutesy style is especially to my liking, although, it'd be nice to see some clothes ^^; Your Trello page is interesting, as is your open policy of information with regard to this project. I'm glad to see it. Web...

Re: Buyan [Paranormal] [Horror] [Political] [RPG]

My intention from the beginning was to have this be a design doc, or rather a collection of them. I'm increasingly seeing the limitations of having it be on a forum proper, ahaha - given that I'll probably be playing around with migration tomorrow (as it's a holiday from work for me), do you have a...
