Re: I want to improve

Soo, the foot problem is because I've mentally put the horizon line too high? Because the feet are parallel to the ground. (I assume you mean parallel, perpendicular would be weird :P) @100puro: Don't worry about it, it's just that I have had people suggest that to me before. Sorry if I snapped at y...

Re: I want to improve

I would suggest you learn to Walk before you run. No fear. Other then that. Your neck is too thick and long for her body/frame Try making it about 1/3 to 1/2 the thickness. sloping in from the back. you need to extend the line of her chin, it looks like her head/neck are all one blob. Oops, when I ...

Re: I want to improve

Thank you, both of you!
Looking back on it, I think all of my art has an oversized head problem :V

Is this any better, anatomy-wise?

I want to improve

For quite some time, I've been practising drawing, but I feel like I'm hitting a bit of a wall where I can't get any better without someone pointing out all the numerous things I'm doing wrong. So I created this thread to get some feedback. This is Abby. She's supposed to look angry and stiff, since...

Re: So, I followed your guys tips.

Stop making a new thread every time you draw a new picture. The old one is still on the first page. There's definitely been a good bit of improvement, anatomy-wise, but you need to work on the shading. Assuming the light is coming from above, why is there shadow on the top of his head? You probably ...

Re: WIP/Idea threads: What turns you on/off

Goodies: Good/Decent art, obviously: Manga/Realistic/3d, I don't care as long as it looks good. An interesting premise: Again obvious. Something where I can quickly see whether it'll be interesting: I don't know how to word stuff. It's not so much about the amount of information, more about being ab...

Re: Pitching Your Visual Novel - What's Your Premise?

Gonna give this one more try. Mark has been put in charge of a particularly gruesome murder and disappearance case. As if that wasn't enough, he's been forcibly enlisted into the army in order to fight off an invading demon horde. Worst of all is that on top of all that, he has to deal with one of h...

Re: Regarding realism

Personally, I feel that more than realism or lack thereof, what matters to me is internal consistency. That the world the story takes place in follows it's own rules, regardless of how different they may be to the rules governing our own. A world that's almost reality, but inconsistent is harder to ...

Re: What does your dream house looks like?

I want a Georgian manor house full of Edwardian furniture. With stucco on the walls and ceilings, Rennaissance and Impressionist paintings hanging up, a grand piano and a four-poster bed.

Re: Pitching Your Visual Novel - What's Your Premise?

I think your instincts are correct. I like the first one, it has my interest. I like it...it's snappy and has drama. The second one...argh. It's like the premise of about a hundred RPGs along the lines of "a dark force has taken over the land..." . Damn, you're right. How about: A g...

Re: DreamWalker [alternate reality]

I thought that might be it.
"An talamh" means "The ground", or earth as in dirt.
The word you're looking for would be "An Domhain" (pronounced dow-wan)which means "The World"

Looks interesting! I really like the idea.
"An Talamh" seems kind of an odd name for a world though.

I'll probably try it once again.
My personal goal will be 20k, since I know there's no way in hell I'll get to 50k.
