Re: Do I look fat in this dress?

Don't tire yourself for such a trivial question, which I told you for the third time I'm not interested in. Because work may reduce your lifespan. Thanks for your answer anyway. If you aren't interested in the question, why did you brought it up in the first place? Why did you read three books abou...

Re: Help with your Japanese game titles.

If the game has no Japanese stuff in it, then I agree. But "you don't even know X, so you shouldn't write it" is not useful for any writer. It's called research. This post is for those who want to take the time to hear from someone who understands the language. Besides, how many people wr...

Re: Do I look fat in this dress?

Since every test group is more on less patriarcal Matriarchal and patriarchal aren't binary options. Many societies don't fit to either definition. making men as actively working and women stay at home passively, a statistic study can conclude nothing serious about genes. Search for "work hour...

Re: Do I look fat in this dress?

Please name me a matriarcal country where women are working more than men to end your argument, cause I don't see any around the world – and please notice that men are immune against breast cancer. I can't, because: There are no known societies that are unambiguously matriarchal Since nearly every ...

Re: Do I look fat in this dress?

Saying men are unhealthy because they are men is some very weird and twisted logic. Women live longer than men, because their genetics are different ? Or maybe it's due to the fact they are comparatively less working than men, therefor less subject to stress and physical exhaustion ? Statistics *ma...

Re: Project Announcement: Consonance

Take in consideration that I'm probably older than the intended audience (which I guess is teenagers). The story sounds bland. Of course I'm judging by a short paragraph, but this is what most potential customers will actually taste, along with a couple of pictures. Here's what I get of the synopsis...

Re: To be or not to be?

if anyone is familiar with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitty_Genovese , nobody lifted a finger to help her due to a very prevalent psychological mindset inborn into people. That's not true, as detailed in the linked article under "attack". The public image of the attack is based on bad j...

Re: Painted Walls -- Horror

As for story - I think, that it is posible to make a novel in three books from any simple story. Like, if it would be told why parents wished to have the second baby, how it was hard for mom to have two small children, how father have had to work hard to keep the family, how lack of attention led t...

Re: Break out of a Ren'Py while loop

I don't think I understand what you want to do. You want to have a logical check whether you should loop or not, right after you called the loop? Shouldn't you check it before, and if True send the player looping? Side note, I couldn't find an end loop command, which would have been better than all ...

10+ points for bunny cloud. * Stop using gradients so heavily for the skin. Either you paint it with brushes, or go over the final product with brushes. The gradients make the girls look like dolls, and messes basic shading you could have easily done by hand. This problem was also prevalent in an ea...

No, you mustn't agree!
We must argue for at least another four pages!

Re: Painted Walls -- Horror

I disagree about Kafka's characters being shallow. Having no name does not equate to shallowness. His main characters draw plenty of empathy from me or else I wouldn't like his works. And I like his works. I like them very much. Anyway, you mean undeveloped characters. Shallow or superficial charac...

Re: Painted Walls -- Horror

It does help the characters are shallow. The essence of mystery and horror is the unknown. I think you're mistaken here. The unknown is scary, but not when it's the characters. It's scary when it's something we can't explain (ghosts, vampires), or when you feel there's a danger lurking in the dark ...

Re: Painted Walls -- Horror

I guess maybe I saw a little too bit of myself in the girl. I cared for her without a huge back story and description, because maybe that's how I am. I'm not saying the story isn't scary to certain individuals, who for personal reasons identify with the characters. The problem is that I'm a most ma...
