Re: Renpy Date Simulation Engine - The Game

It won't run for me either, I get an error message saying that 'the application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way' when I try to run it... :(

Re: Lucky Rabbit Reflex! (GxB Dating Sim, Commercial)

Freaking weird, I've only played the demo of this game ( a few months ago) but last night I had a dream that Marius was totally trying to force himself on the MC. So weird.... How random! (Poor Marius - he doesn't come across that way, does he...? :D) As for CD versions of the game, I know that if ...

Re: Cherry Tree High Comedy Club

It appears that Nyu Media's localization will change all the names. So, I guess their business plan is to market foreign things to people who are afraid of foreign things? In all fairness, as far as I can remember from the Japanese version some of the characters' names were vaguely punny words rela...

Re: Witch Spell

This game is super adorable! Your artwork is lovely (I really liked the colours you used along with that check pattern, those uniforms are sweet :)) and I really liked the music you picked, too. I think everyone else has already covered the little nitpicks I had, but still, great game overall. :D Go...

Re: Completed games made by other people will not load.

If pressing shift using the launcher isn't working for you, you could maybe try putting an environment.txt in the directory of each game (though this might be deprecated now, I'm not sure?). I know that someone playing one of my games was having the same problem try10 mentioned with the sounds playi...

Re: Lucky Rabbit Reflex! (GxB Dating Sim, Commercial)

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for all the feedback, guys! :D I also have a few questions... I tried to get Maruis and Shuppin's dual ending at the first play but I couldn't. Do I have to play the game once and to finish it in order to get the dual endings? Also in the walkthrough says that I ...

Re: Making a single Setup file for game distribution?

Sorry if you've seen this already, but there's a cookbook entry on compiling exe files using NSIS here , it's very simple (I've only ever done it like once, hurr :)). I'm not sure how it compares to Inno Setup, though! Also, while you don't really need to read the NSIS documentation at all, if you w...

Re: Dusk ~A Moonlight Romance~ (KN)

Thanks again, guys! :D I finally got around to playing it and I loved it! I don't know. I kind of expected something more obviously harsh on the series like Nightlight but your subtle humor was perfect for the format. The story book layout was beautiful and I wish I knew what font you used >.< Thank...

Re: Ren'Py 6.13 Pre-Releases

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but I've created a new project in 6.13.2 and for some reason the text always appears instantly, ignoring any changes I make to the text speed / default text cps (after deleting the persistent data); the screen also flickers slightly when the next block of t...

Re: Pottermore! An interactive site for HP fans!

Slytherins represent! The sorting on the actual site seems pretty random to be honest, but what can you do. I got early access to Pottermore a little while back, but as I'm not really a Harry Potter fan besides thinking the books are pretty cool I haven't really found it particularly interesting - f...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

At the same time, I've yet to encounter a typical GxB VN I'd consider enjoyable for a broad male audience. I find most of them superficial, overly fluffy and filled with men that are so idealized and perfect in body and character that if they were female, most people would dismiss them as stereotyp...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

chensterrain wrote: Clannad is as much a BxG game aimed at guys as Starry Sky is a GxB game aimed at girls, much as it may not seem that way from a male perspective. You're right, it doesn't seem to be this way from a male perspective, and "it is like that" isn't a very good argument. Why...

Re: Female characters - why they are how they are

Aside from porn, there are no VNs that are aimed at a strictly male audience. I'm 100% with Aleema on this one - I honestly don't understand this logic at all. The fact that girls will often play BxG doesn't remotely change the fact that these games are aimed squarely at men, the difference being t...

Re: Dusk ~A Moonlight Romance~ (KN)

Thanks, guys! :D Please tell me Quilete is a pun on Quaaluds (anti-anxiety medication). Because that's ALL I could say when I read that. I kept thinking Jason (or Jordan) was from the Quaaluds tribe and it cracked me up immensely. Quileute is actually the name of the tribe in the book (and in real l...

Re: Lucky Rabbit Reflex! (GxB Dating Sim, Commercial)

Whoops, sorry for totally abandoning this topic - but thanks so much for all the comments, guys! I'm really glad people are enjoying the game! :) Yay! I just finish playing Shuppin's path and I realy enjoy it. I also notice it has a lot in common with Tokimeki Memorial, which I am currently playing ...
