Re: Do my lines and coloring look better (update)
The reason why there aren't a lot of tutorials to color with a mouse is because, in principle, coloring with a mouse is technically not different with a tablet. You're trying to aim for a certain look, but you're just using a different tool. But yeah, be patient with yourself, like mitoky says. It t...

Re: Cute anime boys
Do you actually know how to make sprites? You're offering service in this thread and the other for chibis, but I have to be honest and say your work does not reflect actual knowledge of how to make assets for a VN. If you're going to offer sprites, most artists draw an example in a high resolution w...

Re: Do my lines and coloring look better (update)
The coloring is okay, but it's still muddy looking, probably because of the black values you're using in the dark parts of the outfit. I would imagine giving depth to coloring would be harder with a mouse, so you might want to change up the values so that it's easier to work with the form? I've done...

Re: Do my lines and coloring look better (update)
Yeah, the lines look better. Since you're without a mouse, you'll have to rely on the vector tools for nice line art until you can get a tablet and save your wrist.

That's just a fairly normal anime chibi style.

Re: How much is my art worth?
I actually think that your line art could use some work. When resized, it looks decent, like the girl you used in your icon. But up close, the lines look very jagged and unsteady. A lot of people have high resolution screens, so these are flaws that aren't overlooked easily. And as for coloring, LWR...

Re: MaiMai's Art Thread [Critique Appreciated]
Whoops, haven't posted here in a year. Still been lurking and thinking about how times have changed for digital art software apps... Because now you can do legitimately solid work on free programs like Medibang and FireAlpaca. I just have a lot of fun using these programs (the lineart for the black ...

Ren'Py Real Time Capabilities?
Presenting this question for a friend who's interested in Ren'Py's capabilities: Can you limit story progression to real-time passing? Like is possible in it to make it so you can only proceed after enough time has passed? W/ the game closed, so I guess it would be reading the computer calendar and ...

And a Rose Lalonde from Homestuck, drawn and colored in FireAlpaca. I love playing around in art programs that I usually don't use!

@morinoir
I love the crisp lineart of your piece. Good luck with commissions!
Here's something of mine, Homestuck fanart drawn and colored in Medibang Paint Pro w/ some Photoshop editing.

Re: Critique my character
I did a redline correction of your character and showed a version with the original, and where the correction is overlayed on the original and the correction lines by itself so you can see what it looks like. Some Notes * Basically what I did was to fix her face by moving down the eyes nose and mout...

Updated the OP post with links to videos by LeslieLu Marie. Very useful for digital artists just starting out and are using the program Fire Alpaca.
