Re: Is rpg-maker good for making visual novel but with gamep
I'm afraid that I don't have any experience with rpg maker, so I can't tell how easy it would be to make a visual novel using it. I believe that it has been used to make games like visual novels, but I can't think of any actual visual novels made with it. I imagine that RPG maker can handle dialogue...

Re: Can you still remember how you found these forums?
After discovering the existence of visual novels, I decided that I wanted to make them myself. Not really knowing a lot about visual novels, I decided that I needed to research them first, and for me research usually starts with me going to tvtropes page and reading it. There's a link to this forum ...

Re: Need some Mini-game ideas for my script.
Some ideas I came up with: - A hangman game to represent English class (or whatever language class your characters would be taking). - A spot the differences between the two pictures game to represent Art class. - Some minigame where you try to convince as many students as possible to buy candy/nuts...

Re: WIP/Idea threads: What turns you on/off
Turn Ons: - Well written threads. This includes using proper spelling and grammar and especially not chat speak (I can forgive grammar and spelling errors because no one's perfect and English isn't everyone's first language, but chat speak makes it look like you're not even trying), but also include...

Re: Pitching Your Visual Novel - What's Your Premise?
Also "now zombified Carl" sounds a bit... hinting that Jane turned him into zombie, and that's not right. Or maybe I'm thinking too much. Oh, it really does seem to imply that. I don't think you're thinking too much, that probably should be changed. I realize that my version far from perf...

Re: Pitching Your Visual Novel - What's Your Premise?
I'm really confused how to combine action-heavy premise in a three sentence pitch. I tried my best and got four. In a hurry to get to her night shift in time, young pathologist Jane kills a man in a car accident. She tries to cover up her crime by bringing his body to the morgue and performing auto...

Re: Lucky's Art [Last update 28/06/12]
She looks very nice and the coloring looks good so far, especially on the hand holding the bucket. I think the eyes should go under the bangs rather than over them though. The size of the eyes looks fine to me, but I'm used to eyes that big and I don't really know how big they were before you update...

Re: Writing, Art, Or Coding...What Do You Find the Hardest?
everyone can right, script and program... it's really easy to learn... ART... INVOLVES NOT TYPING AND WORDS, BUT STROKES... A DIFFERENT THING FROM THE USUAL KEYBASHING. Sure maybe everyone can right, but not everyone can write well. Writing and programing is not just keybashing, there's a lot of th...

Re: Premature endings - aka game overs?
I think that one of the most important things about premature game overs is that they happen in a logical manner and that the player has a chance to figure out the consequences before making the choice. For example, it would be really frustrating if you're given the choice to go left or right with n...

Re: Character love points
Start by defining the variable. $ xlove = 0 This would be how to make it increase or decrease with different choices menu: "Choice X likes": $ xlove += 1 "dialogue for this choice" "Choice X hates": $ xlove -= 1 "dialogue for this choice" Be sure to remember t...

Re: Kitten Crusade [NaNoRenO 2012][cat][sim]
I had to go re-listen to the music because I had the sound on low, but now I have to say that I like the music, and I feel it fits the game well. Cloud's music is really fun and cute. But I seem to have discovered a bug of some sort. When I rolled back, so I could go to a different house and hear th...

Re: Kitten Crusade [NaNoRenO2012][cat][sim]
The ending picture was so cute, and I really liked reading everyone else's paths. When I was given the option to fight the dog when retrieving Yuri's toy, I was like "What' this? I don't remember writing this", so naturally it was the option I chose, and I got creamed by the dog. It was aw...

Ah, that does make sense. I can defiantly see why she would want to pretend nothing happened.

Re: ReSet Ep 2 : Under the Golden Sun [NaNoRenO][VN]
Finally got all the endings. I'm happy to finally have more backstory on what's going on. And of course, the more GeraldxMike makes me happy. :D Hurrah for Gerald holding Mike with sparkly background. And Gerald plays the violin. So basically, Gerald is awesome like always. I did find the bonus wher...
