Re: Melos [Romance][YuriJam]

What a nice idea! I don't think I've ever seen a VN set in ancient Greece, much less with a realistic aesthetic. And I really like the contrast between their personalities, talents and ideals - exactly my kind of setup for a yuri story ;p Good luck!

Re: Eye-Growth [Horror/Supernatural][YuriJam]

Oh? I'm a fan of Devil Survivor, what part reminded you of it, if you don't mind my asking? The visions, mostly. I know that in DeSu it's about getting predictions of your own death - and here Rhianna is obviously involved with some supernatural stuff before she starts getting the visions - but eit...

Re: Swan x Swan [YuriJam][Romance][Fantasy][GxG (obv!)]

Another update! Finally have pictures of all the characters, though most of them are less than adequately coloured ^_^; It's been a slow couple of weeks, but I think I'm getting back into the swing of things now!

Re: Eye-Growth [Horror/Supernatural][YuriJam]

Hey! I think you have a great jam project. I really like these character designs, and your art style; it's still anime-ish, but pretty different to what we see in most VNs - quite distinctive! I especially dig Wren's fashion sens. And Adeleine's hair looks soooo nice and silky... Ahem. Anyway. The s...

Re: 2015 GCAP and PAXAUS

My partner and I are in NSW - South Coast technically, but not very far south - but neither of us drive, so it's plane tickets or nothing. Well, or the interstate train, but that seems to be MORE expensive than budget airfares? I don't know how that works ^_^; On the bright side, we do have friends ...

Re: Question about Rollbacks

My experience with "first-time players" has been that they don't notice rollback exists, let alone try to abuse it! ^_^; One of my earliest concepts was a game that used text links and rollbacks instead of conventional dialogue trees, but not one of the test players, realised that links we...

Damnit, I would have loved to do this, but Melbourne is outside my travel budget until I get a real job :\ Boo, it would have been so exciting to meet people. I hope it goes head! ^^

Re: Worst anime you have ever watched?

The WORST anime I ever saw, I can't actually remember the name of, but it was reprehensible in every way. Imagine Chobits, except the robot slave girl is deliberately acquired by the loser pervert and actively hates him, literally weeps as he forces her to dress up in awful fetish costumes (the show...

Re: Do you play as same or opposite gender?

I usually wind up playing women in Western games and guys in Eastern games, because the options Western games typically provide for guys are way too manly for my tastes, and the options Eastern games typically provide for girls are way too girly for my tastes. This is usually true when I have to cho...

Re: Fire Emblem Discussion Thread (?)

Personally, I felt the exact opposite. I thought that the Awakening art was far and above the other games. It was the first game that went away from the generic medieval style and made clothing/creatures that felt unique. Well perhaps a bit too unique.. I wasn't too big a fan of the Seahorse-dragon...

Re: Shout For Joy, Share Your Happiness

I just grabbed some better photos from my facebook account. I feel sad because I don't really have time to take a good photo during nighttime... Aww, what a cutie! And so good with cats. My boy still thinks that the way to get other animals to play with him is to bark at them :\ What breed of dog i...

Re: Fire Emblem Discussion Thread (?)

This is one of my all-time favourite game series! It makes me sad to think that I may not pick up the new one (I don't know if I like where it's going - but like you said, don't wanna talk about that cus it's depressing :\). So on to the good stuff! TOO MUCH DAMN TEXT INCOMING. OK so some questions ...

Re: Good Endings without the 'Good' part?

I'm in the minority here. I like happy endings the best and I don't care for sad endings. I can like bittersweet endings if I feel like it was "worth it," such as sacrificing the few to save the many stories, but I still prefer happy ends. There's nothing I hate more when it comes to stor...

Re: First Impression

Late to the party, but if you still want opinions: Not everybody has to be nice guys, but the writer needs to be more careful with jerks. I don't mind a guy being introduced as standoffish or tsundere, but there's a line between that and being a jerk with no sign of redeeming features. If a guy is e...

Re: True endings and their influence on narrative

Yes and no, I guess? Like if there's a "true" ending that comes after all the other endings because it's intended to tie them together, I really like that. But for endings that are mutually exclusive, yeah, true endings aren't a great idea. I get that there's probably a particular ending t...
