It depends on the rest of the story, I like bittersweet/tearjerker endings, like someone dies but the MC carries on (like the tomoyo after manga.) I can deal with a happy ending so long as it isn't "and they lived happily ever after. I can also enjoy a really good downer ending too, but I prefe...
