I know it's not the exact same thing, I was just highlighting a potential issue with adding the feature. Why? Becouse that's what I do, people go "this is the plan" and I go "that could be a problem" and then people either go "o mmm" or "yeah thought of that" ...

Man Ever17 ate up a whole week of both me and my friends time. Things to bare in mind though The character branch is after the initial introduction as opposed to at the very begining of the game (which is in itself a master stroke) Becouse there are two paths per protagonist there are blocks that ca...

mm pointers and referneces, null pointer exceptions are the things bad dreams are made of, that and oracle datafile block corruption. I think one of the biggest fears is that in striving for simplicity we lose the power and versatilitie that ren'py offers in its current form. However the way it has ...

I think 3a would be the most appealing as = is a pretty comfy sign for people to use and just makes sense. Personally I'll stick with 0 just got my Python book through the post today seen as the dead rat also uses it alot I may aswell learn some more about it. Thing is though once you get past the a...

I just finished drawing chapter 1 so it's now full but I shaln't be demoing it, seen as I may aswell wait until the whole things done + musak. But as a summary chapter 1 is about 30% of the whole story, 7,400 ...

lol so it does. Then there's escaping one of either " or ' depending on which you use. I find it easier to contain with ' as I have so much darn conversation. so "a "b" c" needs to be "a \"b\" c" fortunatly the old debuggers a whizz and if you're using so...

with the returns I mean that with blade a user simply uses it to end a ling @text { x y z } where as in ren'py you need "x" "y" "z" becouse new lines are important events. So a user may not actually get the reason "x y z" doesn't work becouse as they'd be conc...

yes, but when I'm actually drawing something and in the vibe I don't remember such things until I'm done. See I can bash a half decent (for me) image out in half hour for smaller pics an hour for the bigger ones, but when you've just about finished something that you actually think *yeah that's look...

however with blade you have the @text {} which is obvious to the layman, also you don't have to know that a carrage return is important and that a tab is not really a collection of spaces. How comfortable you can be with either is simply down to personal preference and experiance. For me the limited...

Getting over the rage

You've all been there, just spent a good while drawing a scene and it's going well, it looks great, you're dead pleased. You add a new layer just about to finish up with a tint and a save then VOMP the piece of ---- graphics program freezes, and dies, and of course there's no rescue. Now, how do you...

I don't have anything against stock materials being a pretty bad artist and no ear for music it'd be handy to be able to buy roylty free stuff off the shelf so to speak as it would speed on development. Once you're stories have got somekind of recognition then it gets easier to get people interested...
