Re: commission or for free???

Oh, another thing to consider: Is the work you're going to help out be sold commercially? If so, you could ask for a small cut of the profits instead of a flat fee.

Re: commission or for free???

Figure out the expected project size. If it seems small and easy enough, then do it for free (or maybe ask for a small payment, like $15, if the person asking you to do it can afford it). The more time-consuming you think a project might be, the more money you should ask for.

Re: Guestbook

Being the enemy of technology doesn't sound like the best idea on a forum centered around creating games :P

Re: A quick question for posters

The important thing is that you have fun and make a game you're proud of. I'm assuming you're not trying to be the next TypeMoon, I think you're okay with doing what you like.

Re: Currently Unnamed Madoka Magica Fangame (RPG, Majou Shou

Ah, cool. It looks interesting, I hope it gets translated. Also, it seems to focus on the original characters and might be a dating sim, so I feel confident I'm not going to make a game too similar to this.

Re: Your first ever video game.

My first games were a bunch of educational stuff for the Commodore 64. I can't remember any earlier than that.

You may or may not be able to. No promises one way or the other. Unless you really really really want it, in which case, I have a form for you to sign. :3

Puella Magi Ibuki Magica (Madoka fangame, updated 11/21)

(Note: There is another PMMM fan VN being worked on somewhere out there. This game is in no way related to the other one. Hopefully there won't be any confusion, but just in case...) Your body aches, and your mind is racing. You have no idea what those strange things you just saw were, or why the gi...

Re: Corrupt a Wish

^^ Your sword doesn't make the things you specified blow up, but it does make the gravitational force blow up. Have fun floating in space.

I wish for the games I want to make to go well.

Re: Guestbook

Hi! I'm Colleen. I've been messing around with Ren'py for a few weeks now, poking around with how the basics work, and getting the hang of Python at the same time. I've been working with Ren'py on my own, but I think I'm ready to start posting here and seek advice and guidance and all that.
