Hehe... *cough* Well, I for one suck at leadership :D I can only give suggestions  All I know is that I'm still learning but that definitely will be making the script for my game as easy to understand, with comments. I will also release a pdf 'how I made my game' once that's done, and that wil...

I was lucky to attend Otakon 2001. Back then there weren't so many crazy Narutards (sorry if I offend anyone) or crazy yaoi fangirls (also sorry don't really mean to offend). It was really great because digital fansubbing didn't really break out then (this was prior to bittorrent), so every new fans...

PyTom, since the Blade Engine panel is earlier on Friday, attend it without pinning on your 'Ask Me about Ren'py' badge. Once that's over, then put on your badge. It'll be too late for them ^_^. I'm not sure who else here would be attending Otakon, but hopefully some Ren'py loyalists would be able t...

I think PyTom and others attending Otakon and the Blade Engine and Shira-oka panels, can learn all the publicity stunts they use. Because I now have no doubt as far as technical potential, Ren'py is it. It's just that the community seems more technical-based (especially with creators into RPG and ot...

Cool. I really envy westerners and that they get to have hardcore anime conventions which isn't just marketing crap by Bandai to sell more Beyblade and Gundam kits, or by the television stations. (guess the kiddy stigma for anime is more pravalent in Asia, though it is more widespread and still have...

To tell you the truth, once I've realized that bishoujo.us, renaigames.net, renai.us, etc, etc, are essentially the same lot. And they all point to Lemmasoft forums and Ren'py. There is no issue imho :D Registering all the possible domain names was more effective than google bombing. I just had to b...

I am not dismissing any of the OEL VNs so far. In fact so far I have been impressed by most, especially in the story and innovation departments. Seriously, some have even beaten Wind, in my opinion. Or maybe because they were short and sweet. I've played around 7 and I plan to play all 28~32 OEL VNs...

I think all thats needed is one or several kick-ass 'killer' applications that utilize a either a few of Ren'py's capabilities, or even just one capability but to the max. Very well-made games would contribute to Ren'py's success. Now I'm not saying that Nanoremo or the one-month-deadline contest is...

Sorry for double post... I guess one has to be realistic...I was hoping to release the first-ever OEL Visual Novel using the Blade Engine, but then realized that using a particular engine is not really that special anyways...it's what you DO with that engine. So if it's the tried-and-true Ren'py, so...
