Re: Ren'Py 6.99 Released
Is there a way to disable the new autobackup feature in 6.99.6? it's neat but I already do my own auto backups with Spideroak and my ocd hates the clutter in my app data folder

Re: Ren'Py Gripes
I'd love it if the jump keyword could pass arguments the same as the call keyword does so this type of thing can be done: call expression 'EndMission' pass (res='SUCCESS',StoryBranch='D4') with the jump label instead so I don't have to call each and every mission in my storyline in a new context is ...

Re: Ren'Py Gripes
Speaking of the documentation, I'm curious why the wiki was abandoned. Or can it still be updated by the community?

You're right about 16:9. I settled on 1280:720 as the main resolution

Re: So, you want a Critique? [Rant]
I don't think it's a terrible idea to say, as a person with a valued opinion, "Can you give me feedback on your overall experience with this and anything else that will make the nearly completed project better?" ... Well actually my original point was it's rare there are any specific ques...

Re: Experiences porting a build from desktop to mobile
No your post actually did hep, I'm trying to promote a conversation for everyone to share their experiences about all projects simple to complex, for others to benefit from, And yes, I'm going to have to redesign certain screens for a touchscreen variant. Perhaps define only a long press t...

I don't think it's a terrible idea to say, as a person with a valued opinion, can you give me feedback on your overall experience with this and anything else that will make the nearly completed project better. It's how movies are made, when they show them to test audiences. They may ask particular f...

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
As my avatar suggests, I put on reruns of Adult Swim shows in the background, absurd shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Squidbillies, Robot Chicken, etc. I find that the surreal humor is just as insanely funny when you're only listening to it, like a radio show and it keeps things light and creative...

Re: Image dimension for Android devices
I've been looking up similar things recently. So far I've determined that the ratio of the dimensions is more important that actual resolution. If I understand your question correctly, you'll find that information here: http://renpy.org/doc/html/config.html Using the following method, you can set th...

Experiences porting a build from desktop to mobile
Hi  For those of you who have or are planning to soon release the same Ren'Py project to both desktop and mobile at the same time, please share your experiences making tweaks between the different versions. What if any issues if any did mobile users run into with some of the more advanced f...
