I actually thought that head goes the other way as well at first because of the wooden board until I realize the guy wouldn't be able to watch TV if facing that way. It almost looked like there's some corpse under the blanket waiting for you to reveal it...

Happens to me too but I think SDL_mixer is at fault (don't take my word on this one). My own game uses SDL_mixer and it does the same thing as well but only on the Windows platform.

The stories are interesting, but it sounds more like action game than interactive fiction. Either way, you could prob combine both genres, and I think it'd be a pretty cool game.

PyTom: Picture is now visible on my monitor. Other than that, I think you should make the moon shiny. Your moon looks gray and has no light emitting from it. Pict above is a good example.

Eclipse: Your pict is B & W? If so, then it showed up perfectly.

Too dark on my monitor. Got to crank my brightness and contrast to full to see everything. My mon is color colab'ed close to the sRGB's 2.2 gamma standard.
