Re: Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day

Sure, you can post this on the Ren'ai archives. You should post a link back to the blog, http://banditscorner.blogspot.com, plus some of these screenshots, I guess. It doesn't really have a permanent home right now. Is there some way I can track downloads there? I wanted to wait until it was out the...

Re: Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day

the fact that it's (save for the music, I assume) bespoke makes it really great I should clarify. One of the music loops was totally generic and did not come with an author to attribute. I used two other songs and "Scheming Weasel" from Kevin MacLeod's great music site incompetech.com. Th...

Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day

Hello! Welcome to Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day ! This is a short (5-10min) comedy about two children's TV show hosts. One is a buxom blonde named Marie St. Marie, freshly hired and very friendly. The other is an excitable chipmunk puppet named Miss Bandit who has been on the show for years. With her bos...

Re: Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day: Need beta testers

Sure, I'm still looking. The new version of RenPy just came out that fixes one of my bugs. I'll see if I can roll a new version for you to try out Real Soon Now.

There are NO SLIDER PUZZLES, just regular puzzles where you can move pieces around at will. There's another puzzle type in it as well.

Re: NaNoRenO 2008

I think I qualify for IntRenAiMo, but just barely. I've been working on "Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day" on and off for months, but I've been hesitant to release it due to a series of technical problems and hosting issues. I'd like to use IntRenAiMo to get me to just...FINISH...IT! From the game...

Re: Audio crash in memfree with minigame (6.6.0e)

I have one more hint on finding it: I think you have to enter the minigame twice to set it off, but I could verify that. I'm playing the same song both times, so idly I was wondering if you're caching the song somehow and when you go to the minigame, you're seeing the same filename so you're making ...

Re: Audio crash in memfree with minigame (6.6.0e)

Is there a quit hook I can just system.exit(0) out of? I know it's not nice to let it all just explode, but I believe SDL can handle suddenly slamming the door shut.

It would certainly be more pleasant than crashing.

Audio crash in memfree with minigame (6.6.0e)

I have a minigame that I'm running in a python hide: python hide: pm = PongMinigame( "Marie/temple800x600color.png", 5, 5 ) pm.minigame.run() return (It's not actually pong.) This works fine unless, within the minigame, I do: def event(self, ev, x, y, st): import pygame # blah blah some st...

[SFX: Crickets.] [Tumbleweed slowly drifts across thread.] [SFX: Crickets fade out. Silence.] [In the distance, a dog barks, once.] OK, one last hope for a beta tester, any beta tester...The game is finished, I hope, except for any last-minute bugs... I'm also including one more piece of art from th...

Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day: Need beta testers

Now in right forum! Sorry! Development is winding down and I need about three or four hardy volunteers to catch anything horrid in the release. I'm going to roll the release soon. Anyone around in the next day or so who wants to help? PM me or post here. Title: Lady Sugarplum's Bad Day Game logline...

Re: Best pen? (and other questions)

You can use some Photoshop filters in GIMP. http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/pspi.html You can restate my comment as "GIMP covers nearly all of Photoshop's core functionality" or "some of" or even "parts of". I don't mind. I'm aware that GIMP isn't Photoshop. I frequ...

Re: Best pen? (and other questions)

Copics vs. Microns: I third the suggestion of Copic Multiliners. They're more expensive than Sakura Microns, but all the parts come out and can be replaced if they fail, while you have to throw away Microns when they die. Copics also have a better curve on failure than Microns. Micron tips begin to ...

Re: Starlight - Now Avalible!

Finally got this to work---there may be some issue with Windows zip extractor and the way the game was packaged---a zero-length file folder name, perhaps? See: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2954&start=15 I had to use a different unzip program. But, anyway, once I got ...
