Re: $renpy.say and screen issues?
Thanks, I understand why it happened now and have found an alternative (and much easier) way of doing it.

Re: Check Out [Boardgame][Simulation]
I am superbly impressed! Error-wise, nothing. No errors have popped up for me, but I haven't finished all the way through either. But it's very impressive, with the complexity of the game to not have encountered anything, so kudos to you! I love the command-line style cutscenes. I'm not sure why, bu...

Re: Movement [GxG] [Drama]
As for the demo, I think I would rather have the option to browse the internet for feminist topics in-game only--as in, the internet browser within the game, not the internet-internet. I do still like the idea, though! I'd probably also try to follow the dev blog, but tumblr's not working properly ...

Re: How to add unlockable bonus / epilogue scenes
In reference to what b3vad said, itd probably be better to use persistent variables for this, so that they'd last even once the player goes back to main menu.

Update 3.2! Well, maybe not, but I was aiming for a design that was easy to code but s...

Re: [ADMIN] LSF Profile: Social Network Fields
Maybe wordpress, if possible? I know some people have dev blogs running there and such. Another good one could be reddit, as I'm pretty sure there's some conversations about visual novels over there.

Re: Movement [GxG] [Drama]
Update...3.1? This past week had almost no progress (can you tell by my late update?) Yesterday I achieved an hour's worth of writing, but overall, I've been quite busy. But I've got a new computer, and I'm ready to hunker down and get some work done with this faster computer! And thus, this update...

Re: How to distribute earnings?
I believe this is why many games use kickstarter/patreon/etc when its a huge project requiring paid services. They estimate the amount needed for ALL aspects-- music, art, programming, voice acting, etc. Lets say it all came out to 5,000 dollars. They put their amount needed on kickstarter and patre...

Thank you!Mad Harlequin wrote:I approve of the new title and logo, and I love that background! It reminds me of The Adventures of Tintin for some reason. Maybe it's because of the pleasant sketchiness of your art style.

Re: Placing the name box over the dialogue box
I don't know how to do it, but here's a tip:
If you have a side image for the MC, you don't have to display a name, just display the side image every time the character speaks. I've seen it done in "The Pirate Mermaid" (a VN in the WIP forum).

Re: Movement [GxG] [Drama]
Update #2! For this week, in terms of writing, I haven't gotten much writing done, aside from some plotting and writing in Bevelyn's route. However, I have made progress in that "extended interaction" I keep blabbing about! It involves quite a bit of programming so over this past week I'v...

Re: 3D Sprite Advice
Personally, I like them.
There's a certain type of 3D art that will turn me off, but yours is done very well and tastefully. I generally don't have a problem with 3D art as long as its well done, but there are often stereotypes that come with VNs with 3D art.

Re: How can I stop making sexist games?
According to the Entertainment Software Association, 48% of gamers are women. Also according to the ESA's statistics for this year, "Women age 18 or older represent a significantly greater portion of the game-playing population (36%) than boys age 18 or younger (17%)." And looking at the ...
