Re: "Do you resign as a human being?" -- Valvrave the Libera
I doubt you know the history of Gundam -- few people do or care, and I don't blame them, but its creator was known for killing off half the cast for nonsensical reasons. I'm unsure whether this will be the case here, but certain signs do point in that direction. On the other hand we've had already t...

Re: How's this for a story? Would greatly appreciate feedbac
Honestly I feel like what you've written is too little and too disjointed to truly give feedback on it. It's basically a short vignette which introduces a character unfit to rule who escapes a dangerous situation by way of the only talent she has. It could go anywhere from there, but I feel like I k...

"Do you resign as a human being?" -- Valvrave the Liberator
Greetings LSF, how are you liking this season's braincell-killing crazytrain masquerading as a mecha show so far? I, for one, look forward to it every week since ever since it started the anime has been an endless ride of glorious stupidity and insane stunts the likes of which our kind might perhaps...

Re: Otaku and a weeaboo
An Otaku is essentially supposed to be a really creepy, obsessed nerd without a life. Don't call yourself that. Seriously. I'd say a weaboo is everyone who believes in the superiority of most or a lot of elements of Japanese culture over western ones. Going by this definition, many of the games we h...

Re: Releasing a visual novel in parts/chapters?
Yes, it can be done. My group does it to control when a hidden route in one game when the player has already completed another, but it would work for chaptered stories as well, naturally. The question you have to ask yourself is whether your group and game REALLY need this or would even survive it. ...

Re: How offensive is swearing?
There is a scene in the movie Mean Guns that I tend to quote for this. "Don't do that, I hate when you do that." (Do what?) "Swear when you don't have to, You use them over and over and over and the word ceases to have any meaning. what I'm saying is, maybe you use them a little less...

Re: Methods to keep you focus on writeing.
Take notes. Take more notes. Take notes and reference them to other notes. Taking a note is quick, easy and painless. By taking many quick easy and painless notes you're slowly building up ideas, concepts and even chapter outlines all of which you'll then be able to translate into glorious progress....

Re: How offensive is swearing?
I feel that offensiveness is -- today -- much less of an issue than over - and mis use. In other words: The issue is more that you'll come across as a tryhard or very immature person which in turn will ruin immersion more than people getting legitimately offended. My advice: Don't overthink. Ask the...

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
I'm not sure whether this belongs here, but has anyone here ever enjoyed or even heard about the Don't Rest Your Hooves Pen&Paper RPG? In short, it takes the premise of FiM, and combines it with a 1984-esque surreal dystopia in which nothing is as happy as it seems and Friendship is, indeed, man...

Thing is, that kind of Tsun is much easier to write, and you can drag it out indefinitely, allowing you to create more seasons as you please.
