Re: Alternatives to Notepad++ for Mac Users...Sublime?
It's worked for me pretty well, I've just treated .rpy files as python. There is a free demo of the software on their site, so why don't you try it yourself?

Re: Dysfunctional Systems cancelled! Wait, what?
Really sad. I posted my thoughts on the Kickstarter page already though so I won't rehash here. Hopefully they'll release what they completed though.

Re: Rules on the Visual Novel as a Medium
Skimming this thread, I've seen the phrase "meaningless choices" thrown around a few times. I'm curious to know what exactly this means? I think that sometimes in vns, a few extra choices are fine, even if they don't have a huge impact or affect the ending at all. If we learn something ne...

Re: Does a game's logo help?
I also a agree that a logo is important. It helps establish your game and help people visually remember it if they've seen it before. That being said, your other artwork is probably more important, but a logo is a good foundation to build off of.

Re: Multiple Projects Advice?
I think if you're doing it all by yourself, one is the way to go. However, if you're commissioning art/writing it can be worthwhile to work on another project while waiting on other members of your team to complete things; as long as you've finished your part of the project. I think focusing on one ...

Re: Walkerman [Fantasy] [Commerical]
Everything looks really awesome! I would suggest maybe modifying the logo a bit though, right now it seems rather bland compared to everything else. That being said though, I'm really forward to seeing what the final version looks like! Cheers!

No no need. I'd like to see them! Btw, love your line art! Would like to see high res of the CG, at this res the colors kinda muddle the lines to me, but that's just my opinion. Keep up the great work!MaiMai wrote: I drew the other main Fate/stay night heroines too, but no need to post them here.

Re: I find this very disheartening....
Keep your head held high; as someone who was in a similar situation I can say that you're not alone and I know how you feel, but it does get better as you get older. Some people can be horrible; but the best we can do is find people who appreciate others for the content of their character and just n...

Re: People to follow on twitter/tumblr etc?
I'm still new to the visual novel community, but have been trying to follow a whole bunch of different people connected to VN's. I agree that @renpytom is a great person to follow, he is very much involved with the vn community, posts great stuff on game dev, is great at retweeting stuff other vn c...

Re: Crash (pickling error) upon saving?
Okay, some detective work has found out that the issue has to do with my Parallax class. What about this is causing save files no longer to be active? # Based off of code by Elmiwisa: # More information: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23438 init 800 python: class MouseParal...

Crash (pickling error) upon saving?
Hey, I've been working on a project and everything seemed to be great, until I tried to actually save my game. Afterwards I get this error: I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "renpy/common/00action_file.rpy", line 259, in __call__ renpy.save(fn, ex...
