Re: Centering Text and Transitions
I would still like to know if there is a workaround for the screen shattering effect, though. Also, I can't really seem to figure out the other image transitions; I did read the page PyTom directed me to, though. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong..x.x; Speaking of image transitions, I've tried us...

Re: Centering Text and Transitions
I tried using 'extend', but while it does cause both the first and second line to appear separately on the same screen, it places the second line next to the first as opposed to below it. EDIT: The {w=} and /n tags work perfectly, though! I'm assuming by 'pause time', you mean that after the first l...

Re: Centering Text and Transitions
...Strange. It's working perfectly fine, now. I tried entering your code, which did the trick, then tried entering just the 'centered "blahblahblah"' again (with and without defining a character), and it worked as well...>.o;; I don't know what I was doing wrong before, but problem solved....

Re: Centering Text and Transitions
Hmm...Well, that centers the character's name, but what I was looking to do was something more along these lines:

Re: Centering Text and Transitions
I don't think I quite understand.
You mean do something like this: $ centered = Character('None', color="#ffffff")?
Where would I put the 'xalign=0.5, yalign=0.5' bit?

Re: Centering Text and Transitions
Doing that gives me this error instead:
Exception: Sayer 'centered' is not defined.

Re: Centering Text and Transitions
You can define your own transitions using ImageDissolve. That will let you do the circle blackout. The scene shattering effect isn't something Ren'Py can do right now. Is there no workaround for this? Perhaps inserting an animation of my own... Use the center character. Is there some code I need to...

Centering Text and Transitions
I've got two questions that I'd certainly appreciate a bit of help with. Firstly, how do you make the text appear in the center of the screen, while hiding the textbox? I'm sure it's something really simple that I'm overlooking somewhere, but...>.o; And, secondly, how do you use scene and/or image t...

Re: Lucky Rabbit Reflex! - GxB Dating Sim (+demo +charaprofiles)
To be honest, I actually favor the original UI a bit more.
Although, I do like the font you chose for this one.
The font for the main text, that is. I don't think the font used for the in-game menu and the numbers on the save screen quite fits.

Re: Animes you just can't stand
I have to admit that the flashbacks in Naruto do get rather annoying. I suppose it'd be helpful for someone who hasn't watched in a while, but for someone who watches new episodes as they are released, the extensive use of flashbacks seems rather ridiculous and detracts from my overall enjoyment. Es...

Re: Animes you just can't stand
People often complain about the large number of fillers in the original Naruto series, but I tend to think of it this way: I would rather they create fillers while they wait for the manga to get further along than (a) having an extended period with no episodes whatsoever or (b) ending the series all...

Re: The Game -Chapter One-
I don't see the connection. People being forced to fight each other to the death is a timeless idea. It was ancient when the Romans had their gladiator fights, which actually happened . It is not, however, an idea that appears in 'The Most Dangerous Game' (which had a completely different scenario:...

Re: The Game -Chapter One-
Of course, the idea is not unique (the idea of Battle Royale itself being either directly derived from, or derived from something else that was derived from, an old short story titled 'The Most Dangerous Game'), but I've never come across a visual novel utilizing it.
