Re: How to I make the text cut off?

Code: Select all

style.window.right_padding = 75
It should be in your options.rpy file. Change it up and down until you get what you need.

Re: Commercial game resolution?

I've said this every time this topic comes up. I have a massive high resolution monitor. I have to squint when people make 800x600 or smaller. 800x600 monitors were standard back in 1995.

In short: 1366x768 or better, please.

Re: About the term "Visual Novel".

I still think the term "digital plays" is much more fitting for them.

Re: Rising Angels: Reborn

I just finished my first playthrough of the game. Front to back no pauses of any kind, for food, drink, restroom, or something as petty as sleeping before work. Wonderful work! I can't wait for a sequel! If there's anyway I could expedite such a release, please don't hesitate to ask for help of any...

Re: Chief's Writing Thread

I'm going to finish the epilogue today. Like before, it would mean a lot to me if anyone gave me some feedback. My threads always are very lonely... Li chased after the tails of the fox down into the abyss. Every step built further dread into her heart. Trying to build up her courage, Li wished that...

Re: Career-choices for cool male characters?

Pilot with the degree in aeronautics. Fighter pilots are cool, but you can always go with a regular commercial pilot. They even work for both characters!

Re: Amount of realistic profanity in VNs

Know your character and stay true is the best advice I can give. If they cuss like a sailor, it is going to feel weird if they say "Oh, poopyblocks" instead of "Oh, shit". The only exception I'd give to the write them like they are rule is if you are targeting a specific audience...

Re: Sleepless Night 2: Ladies’ Night(mare) [Horror]

I'm using Windows. I have downloaded the installer version and successfully installed it in my desktop. However when I tried to open it, it tells that the link is lost. Then it searched the link for itself and correct it. After that, when I tried to open it, it's no reaction. Try redownloading it. I...

Re: Questions about credits

Try this. image theend = Text("{color=#f00f00}{size=80}The end{/size}{/color}", xalign=0.5, yalign=0.5) You have to put the brackets into the text string. You also should close the brackets to be safe. I'm not sure if you wanted your text on the bottom of the screen, so I included the alig...

Re: Chief's Writing Thread

The story continues! I'm wondering if we should call it the Tiger, the Fox, and the Halberd. Hee. Looking forward to the new scenes. P.s. Li, don't drink the koolaid! XD Too wordy for my tastes. Nice and simple, unlike this writing style for me. I miss dialog sometimes. The story continues~! I real...

Re: Rising Angels: Reborn

Hmm, I believe the image not being defined happened in about the second half of the story? I never chose an option to talk to Zuri, so it happened during either the main story or when Zuri appeared in other people's cutscenes. It happened about from the time of a few scenes before the sandsharks, t...

Re: Rising Angels: Reborn

Some things I didn't like were that some endings weren't fleshed out at all. They had the feel of just a bad end, and most choices were bunched up at the end to decide the endings. I thought they would be more spread out during the course of the story. While that made it easier to progress, I just ...

Re: Chief's Writing Thread

A year later, Old Chief Komi is back to practicing his writing. If anyone could give me their thoughts on the first part of The Halberd and The Fox, I would be grateful. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A soft growl from her fuzzy pillow woke Li up with a startl...

Re: Rising Angels: Reborn

My favorite character interactions in this were the moments with Zuri and Natalie. I liked the dynamic they seemed to have together, and I wasn't expecting the reaction when she touched the crystal to cause the ship's Bellino's to go out. xD All in all, I like how it didn't rush us into the story b...

Re: Rising Angels: Reborn

Officer Trix reporting in after obtaining all 5 endings and all 7 CGs. (Sorry Samu-kun, I just had to steal that...) It was a pretty good game if you can get over the slow start and the rare spelling or grammatical error. I did kind of guessed the 'twists', but generally it was pretty good. I...
