An event about a Japanese pro artist who copied another?

The more detailed question was if anyone knows about some scandalous article about some pro Japanese native artist who was accused of copying another artist's poses or something like that? This was a few years ago when I saw sample photos from the artbook in question where the poses were the same, b...

Re: Our Crossing Paths [Drama/Romance/AU] Story update (1/3)

I'm not dead yet guys! Also, I tweaked Alan's anatomy but then I feel like even though I sawed off a chunk of his body, the appropriate length of the torso and the hips are still off. Even after cutting some height off to make the ratio better, I still think Alan's torso is still to long and I proba...

Re: Quick question with the realism of death by firing squad

Welp, thanks to all the folks who took the time to reply. With your responses, I have come to the conclusion that I'll settle with shooting at the heart. There is a reason why it's one-on-one because the shooter personally knows the criminal and it's AU so I thought just maybe I could get away with ...

Quick question with the realism of death by firing squad.

I'm writing out a scene taking place in a setting much like the early 1800s where a criminal is executed by a single soldier who is the firing squad. It's one-on-one so the soldier will kill the criminal at point-blank range with no misses. The question I have is how long does it take for someone to...

Re: Visual Novel/RPG hybrid game?

From what I see, it's possible to show character art at the same time as pixelated sprites, but I would like to know if it's possible to transition from the pixelated map to a CG scene and then back to the map?

To say nothing of Junji Ito.
Oh god, is Ito the same author who made that one story where there were a bunch of human-shaped holes in a cliffside and people died in there? The nightmares are coming back again ;__;

Re: Similar and Differentiating Art Styles Thread

If you ever feel like all manga/anime art look the same, that's a sign that you've been looking at the same categories all the time. :p You're right, I should have clarified myself further. I'm embarrassed that I made too broad of a statement. Frankly, I've let a comment of my high school art teach...

Similar and Differentiating Art Styles Thread

This thread could turn into a compilation of art styles, anime/manga or not, as a source of inspiration for beginning artists or just discussing distinct/similar art styles. My first post will end up being a semi-rant as it is something I've noticed while reading manga which is similar art styles pe...

Sometimes I feel like I'm the "social bomb" when I go post a reply to a thread somewhere and that thread isn't updated (usually the discussion threads I make), leaving my name to be the last user to respond. ;__; "Social bomb" being a term my personality psychology professor used...

Re: A Manga Title "Generator" (Possible VN/KN inspiration?)

I got some more combinations in case people want to get some ideas for titles or projects: Yakitate! Combat Recipe: Ok, so this sounds like a sequel or spin-off of Yakitate! Japan. Perfect Library Cantabile : I never watched Nodame Cantabile , but the first thing that pops into my head is that it's ...

It was Gotham City Imposters Free-To-Play so a lot of weapons and perks seem to be overpowered anyways.

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

I got called a shotgun noob for the first time... and it felt goooooood. Lol, it was this kid (I presume based on a snippet of his mic reception) who got mad at players who used a powerful shotgun or a sword that can kill a player in a few properly-aimed hits. This kid first started demanding the on...

A Manga Title "Generator" (Possible VN/KN inspiration?)

Here's the link to the title generator Some fun times with this generator. I don't know if anyone has ever used it before. Even though the link i found it on was titled to be used for shoujo or general manga titles, it gave me an idea. How about using this generator and turn it into a short contest...
