Re: Possibly Odd Idea for Game Jam
Sounds like a writing prompt, only in visual novel form. Lol, I was just having a discussion in my recently made topic about finding free artists. It sounds like it would be fun. Isn't there a saying about how if you give writers the same idea, none of them will make the same story? If your idea eve...

Re: Know Any Artist Recruting Sites (Free or Paid)?
Thanks for the links. To answer your question, it's the same reason people make free visual novels here in the first place: they either can't afford to hire people, or they don't want to make commercial projects, and free ones instead. Also, I never said myself specifically was looking for artists. ...

Know Any Artist Recruting Sites (Free or Paid)?
My first guess is DeviantArt, which is where I found a few artists for my project. But that site is mainly to share your artwork, not necessarily advertise it. So you have to private message artists for recruitment, and I doubt they expect to receive job offers (free or otherwise). Then there's a cl...

Re: Tokyo Dark [Adventure][Detective][Kickstarter]
Wow, that was tremendous help, thank you. :) My original plan was to contact who I could for advertising, and see how well the kickstarter would fare. I thought it was too soon to consider developing a fan base. Thanks again for your advice, I'm definitely going to apply it. I look forward to buying...

Re: Tokyo Dark [Adventure][Detective][Kickstarter]
Very impressive. I love games that touch on psychological aspects. You don't see too many of those. Since I'm trying to develop a game myself, may I ask you a question? How did this game produce such effective marketing? From what I've read, marketing is usually the deciding factor in kickstarters t...

That's an interesting find, thanks for sharing.
I'd like to see more games that teach languages. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who'd like to learn Japanese.

Game Development Resouce List
Hello everyone, While trying to work on my own game, I recently discovered this convenient list. It has so much content, I can't summarize half of it here. It covers basically everything you'd need to help create a game. Browse the list for yourself and see what matches your needs. https://game-deve...

Re: Unnamed Medieval Fantasy Project (gxb)(Romance)(Drama)
The game almost sounds like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type. But I only thought that after reading your last reply, saying, "...will be meant for players that want to tell a story about their character. Players who want a more challenging experience might be disappointed." So ...

If you're still looking for work, perhaps you could view our recruitment post? It's a game focused on vampires and might match the interests you mentioned at the beginning of the post. Thanks.
