Re: Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 2nd, '11

@azureXtwilight - Well what I'm thinking is that maybe it'll contain an image depicting a scene of MC doing the work, and either doing a superb job, messing up, or otherwise completing the task with varying degrees of success... with the other character watching on. Of course I haven't drawn them ye...

Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 2nd, '11

Thanks for the critique, everybody! I've taken your comments into consideration and changed things around a bit. I made the empty frame a bit smaller, I've slightly moved the statsbox up a bit so that it wasn't sitting on MC's head (This is the best I can do for now ^^;) , and I changed the text win...

Re: Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 2nd, '11

For this project I'll DEFINITELY need testers, proofreaders, and critics. Even if I'm just having fun with this, I eventually want to create a game of worth and quality... in other words, something that someone would enjoy playing. I'll definitely keep you guys posted once I need something tested. :...

@Snow Blossom: Even if he did, he'd get kicked out of that one regardless. XD

@Camille: Alrighty then, I'll let you know when I have a test version ready. ^^ Glad you're excited, I am too. =3

Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 2nd, '11

Still working on much of the gameplay aspect of this project, but I can tell you that it's coming along pretty nicely. Right now I'm wondering if people would be interested in testing out for bugs, gameplay balance, and general enjoyability in a very bare-bones demo of the game. ...Once I'm ready to...

Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 2nd, '11

I actually read both Emma and Shirley after starting the project to have some idea of how a 'maid story' might unfold. I definitely loved both of them. Kaoru Mori is rather well-known for all the research put into the story, art, and elements of Emma, which is amazing in itself. Of course, I could n...

@Snowblossom: Yeah, with the current schedule system, the PC actually has a lot of free time to do stuff, like shop, attend events, meet people, and so on. Or she can work overtime. I already mentioned the incentives of overtime about a page back, where you get to perform tasks specifically for a ce...

Re: Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 2nd, '11

Ahahah....thanks, dear, I really appreciate it. XD I wouldn't have been able to get this far without the encouragement, really. It's just a lot of repetitive, basic Ren'Py stuffs. A lot of people have asked me to provide advice on GUI. Maybe one day if I feel confident, I'll try providing help with ...

Happy post-Canada day, everybunnies. ...*hungover* I know I've been neglecting this thread, but I have NOT been neglecting this project! I'm still working on it, I promise! That said, things have been busy this past month with midterm exams, projects, and work (and work parties), so I haven't been a...

Re: Cinders - a very pretty fairytale VN (trailer + pre-orde

Tried it out today, and I have to say, I'm very pleased with the visuals. I imagine that the choices you make for Cinders will play an important role in determining how the plot unfolds, so I can't wait to see how that turns out. I did get an 'unexpected error' after quitting the game though. Just a...

Re: IT'S COLLEGE TIME

Currently I'm in fourth year business school with an accounting concentration. I already have the requirements needed to graduate the program, but I'm taking a few more courses so that I'll be able to qualify for an accounting designation. Still considering going for my Masters', but I'd rather work...

Re: Kismet: The Murder Files [REVISED]

Yikes, this looks pretty suspenseful! I do enjoy murder mystery games and novels however. This one looks quite interesting, with supernatural powers always being a neat twist, given that they're used well as a plot device.

Re: Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JUNE 10TH, '11

Still got loads to do, resources to finish, etc, but I decided to go ahead and script some of the events. As such, here's some screenshots of things to come. I'll also go over examples of the possible events that may occur... http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn59/ladymakaze/eventsample1.jpg If a r...
