Re: Ariane's Assistant 2.0
Thank you, I checked. I changed the config. nr. but I still struggle a bit with the built.classify. I haven't worked much with Ren'py and it looks still quite complicated. Nevertheless, I updated to version 2.1.

Re: Ariane's Assistant 2.0
Hello and thanks,
I forgot indeed to insert "http://". The zip should work now.
PS: I'll check the config.version; as I still have one or two questions left about configuarting. Is there any way to make the downlad smaller by omitting unnecessary parts that wont interfere with the game?

Ariane's Assistant 2.0
I corrected all the mistakes I found and added some sounds. Anyway, before I finally upload it, someone might find time to test it. It contains a few NSFW moments (but nothing really gross or very graphic). The game is based on my comic "Theater Of The Bloody Tongue" that tells the adventu...

Re: Help! RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded
Here is the original script: image Audience Normal = "Audience Normal" image Audience Cheering = "audiencecheer.png" image Audience Angry = "AudienceAngry.png" image Skull = "ObjectSkull.png" Now I see that I missed the .png extension. Maybe this was the mista...

Ariane's Assistant.
I made my second game after a long break, and I don't know Ren'py to well, so there are surely some problems and errors in it, but the program runs for testing. If you like to test the first version, you can downlad it here: zip for pc zip for pc If you find a problem, please tell how it can be solv...

Re: Help! RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded
Thank you for taking your time, first. Just before I went back to the forum I found the mistake, and it was indeed an image that caused the problem, although a different one. The original script was label comedian: scene bg stage show Harry costume2 at center show Audience Normal h "Wokka, wokk...

Re: Help! RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded
I am writing my Ren'py game in atom. I can start the game via the Ren_py launcher and it can testplay it, but when I reach a certain scene, it stops and I get this message: I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While running game code: File "game/script.rpy", line 1829, in script ...

Help! RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded
Hello, after my programmer deserted me I started writing my game myself. It is a rather long gamestory with many pictures, and I made good progress and hoped to finish the story within the next week, but as I tested the latest version, the game stopped and I got this message: "RuntimeError: max...

Ariane's assistant
Hello, I made Ariane's Rockstripquiz https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=50762 not long ago, now I am writing a more complex game with he same character. The player will be a male character who hires as assistant in Ariane Eldar's Theater of The Bloody Tongue. The game would b...

Re: Right resolution?
Thank you, that's helpful. So I will stick with 1280x720, and will only make characters as png, and backgrounds as jpg.

Right resolution?
I am not sure yet if I'm going to make my next game with Renpy (at least I made one game with it so far) or with RenJs (that would allow me to create an online game, but I will have to start at zero again), but anyhow, I am not sure what rresolution would be reasonable. For my first game, I used a r...

Re: Renpy convertion to online browsergame?
I have started looking at the RenJS tutorial; it was a bit much information for me at the start, but I think 'ill coming back and watch it again. There's one thing. Although I would like to do to an online game, is there any limit for playable size? My first game was a rather easy and short quiz, bu...
