Re: Ladies, about the lack of "hentai" scenes with fem prtgn

That's an interesting realization you had there. And thinking about it, I can't imagine how one would draw an ero-scene with focus on the male love interest instead of the female character. My brain has been turned into mush by reading things aimed towards guys. I've played an otome game where the m...

Re: Enticing players to do something for extras in game

I personally wouldn't like to do something inane for something that should be already built into the game as an extra. However, doing something for extra content can be fine too. Doing a thing with mini-games in game to unlock extra CGs isn't uncommon, but I'm not quite sure that's what you're looki...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

Engaging in the bad habit of telling myself: "It's a placeholder" and then slacking off on neatness and proportions even though it's a really simple picture that has no real dynamic pose-stuff in it. Hahaha, I gotta slack less.

Re: Common routes?

I feel that the common route should be like an introductory arc. The setting should be explained, and the characters should be roughly introduced. Their general, everyday personalities should be developed and some sort of not-a-stranger relationship should probably be developed. However, their traum...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

Tried doing laundry for bed sheets today. I usually enlist my parents' help, but they weren't willing to help today, and honestly, with how they are, I don't trust them to help me with anything since every time I ask for something, they complain about me not being independent enough and doing it mys...

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^

It's basically been forever since I've posted anything in this thread. Eh... I've really been slacking on drawing. Was doing experiment on hair coloring and sketched some stuff. I think I'll stick with cell shading... since globbing color on in the general pattern that I shade in my pencil sketches ...

Re: Naming characters, avoiding the same first letter?

Thank you for the responses, everyone. @Mammon: Placeholder code names are good. I have them right now for the two characters (Catgirl, Princess). Hahaha, though I tend to give characters nicknames that I refer to them by when brainstorming ideas, so I tend not to use such things for too long. It mi...

Re: VN's Without Narration

I personally prefer a bit of narration. Unless you're using animated sprites or a lot of art or something to show the characters doing actions, using only dialogue will either make the scene too vague or too awkward. The characters either have to over-explain things that they already know (as other ...

Naming characters, avoiding the same first letter?

Generally, when naming characters, I would avoid using the same first letter in the names to avoid confusion. Like, if there were 3 girls: Sam, Sally, and Sara, I would get slightly mixed up between the characters at first because of how similar their names sound. Thus, I tend to use different first...

It's the new year. And, well, winter break for my area ends tomorrow (meaning, tomorrow is the last day off). Of course, being me, I haven't done my homework yet. Hahaha, dies.

Re: How important are trailers?

I'm not a professional. Take my opinions with a pinch of salt. However, when it comes to visual novels, I feel like trailers aren't too important. Having a pseudo-animated opening sequence is nice and all, but I tend not to look at the trailers when deciding whether or not to play it. Having pretty ...

Re: Games with 100+ characters

A game with over 100 characters that actually contribute to the game? (I'm assuming, named characters who aren't throwaway NPC A, NPC B) While I find visual novels useful when there are a lot of characters to introduce because there's always a name that pops up when the characters speak (like a remi...

Urgh. Not to diss any Christians, but my parents are really getting on my back. So, I have some Church friends. However, I'm not Christian and I hate the feeling of being pressured to accept the love of Christ or whatever. It's annoying, and I'm not bold enough to be like: "No, I seriously just...

Re: Recommendations for games to learn from

Hoshizora no Memoria It is very shiny and pretty. It uses a technology that zooms in and out, panning and whatnot. Basically, it's very pretty. How nice it looks is the best part of the game. There's sex here and there. Loli-sex. Outdoor sex. Beach sex (personally, I find that ugh. Because, sand). ...

Re: Silent Voices [GxB][Psychological][Romance]

1. Does the premise interest you? The thing that caught my attention the most was the kinetic novel part. Autumn. The setting as a whole is interesting. A monarchy? Well, in your story, that mentioned king would have been over half a millennium before the main story. I don't think I see many monarch...
