I think past tense too...
Unless you plan on doing a *this is my train of thought at this moment*, past tense just seems easier.

Want to ask is, as music is important to me...will there be sound/music? It adds to the whole thing, if done properly.

Re: Ideas Dump
There's a Ranma fanfic along those lines in which the Tendo girls wish for their mom to be brought back to life, and she is - as a teenager, long before she met their father, and latching onto Ranma as the best beef in town. Woe! Just what Ranma needed...yet ANOTHER suitor! LOL It seems just about ...

Re: Independent
Well, if you look at the *idea dump* thread - WAAAAAAAY back, like page 5 or around there - I had the idea of a HS student who just didn't seem to care about things. He had a lot of female friends - even though he told them, repeatedly, *no thanks*...however, I am NOT a artist (stick figures anyone?...

Re: Independent
Bernadette comes across as SPOILED lol
Honestly I like the idea of a *I want to be left alone!* character - heck I posted it as an idea loooooooooong time ago (main character just doesn't seem to care) but not the way this is done.
This does look like a winner!

Re: Ideas Dump
Kicking this idea around...not sure how well it would work though! Take everything that is common to a vampiress: brooding, depressed all the time, et cetera...and throw it out the window. Instead you have a VERY happy, bubbly, energetic vampiress, who thoroughly enjoys life and wants people around ...

Re: Types of Choices You Like
Myself, I like this idea of *OK you picked choice A...you won't immediately know which path that will lead...but you will get hints*...I like a fair amount of choices, where if I mess up once it doesn't really affect the path I'm going on. I don't like it if I'm going for girl A, but because of one ...

Oh man I feel so OLD.....everyone's so young!!
This is a picture taken over Christmas break, me holding my brand-new nephew - at the time of this picture, he's not quite 3 weeks old.....and one of these days I WILL have a decent picture taken of me!!

Re: Do you prefer playing from a 1st person POV or 3rd perso
On visual novels I like the 1st person POV, but on almost EVERYTHING else I prefer the 3rd person POV. The reason is it is usually easier to identify with the character in a VN - esp characters like Arthur Turner (GSK), who I can relate to on wanting to start fresh... but for platform games that wou...

Re: How's your college life?
I think MaiMai's pretty much covered the salient points...but here's one more Everything at the college is overpriced. If you go to a college drugstore, deoderant costs 3.50. If you go to the convience store down the street, the exact same thing for 2.99. Textbooks are horridly expensive, and a lot ...

Re: Puzzles in your RPGs?
Having played RPGs since about 1986 I think i can add something to this! Fetch quests and puzzles used to be quite common (get X to get Y to work), and while I don't mind puzzles like that, also remember to make them somewhat easy... I don't mind backtracking a little bit, but if you have to backtra...

Re: Animes you just can't stand
That's partially why I hate Naruto so much...it never ends! I mean, when you have *episode 221*...gimme a break! I know it's exciting and everything, but can't you end things like this? I much prefer animes that have a definite end, or at least some sort of closure, rather than the *tune in for the ...

Re: Questions about endings and such...
Let's see... The first time I play a VN, it's more about *finishing the novel*, THEN try different paths to see what those paths will give me. I do like multiple endings! Regarding a true ending...it really does depend on the novel. I don't mind having a true ending, but the ending has to be somewha...

Re: Do you ever have long absences?
Waves to Rioka!!! Frankly I have the same problem as rioka too...I took some time off to deal with college issues, and when I came back, a lot of the regulars that I talked to aren't around as much, and there's a whole lot of *who's this?*. I'm socially awkward too - seems to be a common theme here!...
