Re: Emma: A Lady's Maid [GxB/G][Steampunk Romance]

DOWNLOAD DEMO I was digging through the archives and came across my nearly finished demo for Emma: A Lady's Maid. And you know what, I thought... Why not pop it on itch.io? I polished off a couple of rough edges and... here it is! As ever, feedback is much appreciated! ^_^ Especially whether the pu...

Re: What do you honestly think of my art?

I can really sympathise with the dilemma of using stylised art as reference vs real life, when you're still trying to learn the style. Eventually, when the style becomes second nature, you'll automatically "translate" into your own style as you draw while using real life reference, but I c...

Wow, good work! She looks very natural. You've really grasped directional lighting and volume well. :)
I love the shading on the (left) coat!

Re: What do you think of my art?

Personally I really love your art! If it was me, I'd collaborate with you on a project, and check out games that you'd be the main artist on. There's just something really appealing about the characters... they've got life to them... volume... dynamism. Your examples don't immediately make me think ...

You probably do this already, but just wondering if you use the flip your canvas trick? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y38/blueswan/sas_feedback_zpsi5lqy28b.jpeg Anyway, with the guy's eye... I hope the image above can help! 1) The same guy but canvas flipped. Have you spotted it yet? 2) One eye i...

Re: What do you honestly think of my art?

I think your art is cute, if a bit wobbly! The second character I liked especially, nice colours (I know you mentioned it's not your original design but you still replicated it nicely). I would probably give a VN with that kind of art a chance if it was free to play and I knew the writer was good. ^...

Re: Is my character art good enough? (please critique)

With regards to lineart in the image you posted for the side-by-side comparison I noticed a couple of things: 1) The line art was still rough in places. For example at the bottom of the blazer, the line juts out. On the sword handle the lines don't connect. The middle button on the blazer isn't a ci...

Re: Feedback for handsome butler

Thanks King-sama! You're right, for a sprite it's better to look straight at camera. I don't know how I overlooked that!! :) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DLPzrF0XUAA_pY_.png Lineart is finally finished! Phew! I also changed the eyes so they look straight ahead. Aaaaand I just realised I forgot to fix...

Re: Feedback for handsome butler

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DK17zb7X0AA4J5x.png More progress on the lineart. I'm pretty happy with it, but not sure if the hand is too big? Or too fat? The lower thumb joint is also a little inelegant... Any thoughts/feedback on the lineart would be appreciated!! <3 I ended up tweaking the head an...

Re: Feedback for handsome butler

Thanks morinoir! After looking through a ton of reference from various otome games, I think I managed a slightly less pointy chin, haha! I think my "natural" style tends to go towards a broader chin than otoge style, so I overcompensated by going a bit too pointy, haha! I will look at it a...

Re: Feedback for handsome butler

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I have started on version 2 of the butler, taking on board all the comments. :) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DKmgTyGXkAE1nmE.png I have adjusted his face as suggested, with smaller features and stronger shading. I didn't put any highlights in for now, but may come...

Feedback for handsome butler

Hello! I am trying to learn how to draw handsome men in typical otome game style. This is probably the best I've managed so far, but I feel like I'm still not quite there. Ignoring the lack of shading on the clothes, is there anything you feel is off about the face? Feel free to redline. https://pbs...

Re: Share your sales/downloads stats!

It's now been 2 and a bit years since The Trouble with Earl Grey was released. Since then I added a bonus game, called Earl Grey Forever After , which people could get access to if they gave $2.50+. If anyone's wondering whether it was worth it... financially no. Was it fun to make a spin-off? Yes! ...

Re: 18+ Romance Otome

Oh I'm so thrilled to hear it! We're nearly 2% of the way to 3000 in the first 24 hours. I am hoping that as more people join in, the poll finds its way to more people, and gains momentum. But then again, it is quite a niche! Will be interesting to see. I love Otome VNs of all kinds, but it would be...
