Re: How much game in your story? And other questions.
For a game 10 hours long, are you thinking about an even split? 5 hours of gaming, 5 hours of story? Are you story-heavy? 7 hours of story, maybe, 3 hours of gaming? Or are you most interested in the gameplay...7 hours of gameplay, 3 hours of story? Does it depend from game to game? My other questi...

Re: Starting the story
Would you rather be given a lot of information first thing about the characters background (say they moved from somewhere to a new town) and then straight into game play OR would you rather have a very ambiguous beginning that doesn't explain much until you get into the story? What's the setting of...

Re: Original Visual Novel Festival
I don't think subcategories is a good idea, because it looks bad if there are 0 or just 1 entries in a specific categories (nothing is worse then a empty-feeling festival). This event seems more about displaying VNG in Deviantart rather then competing with each other anyways. What I would like as a ...

#1 looks the best #2 looks like he's falling from the sky. #3 looks like he's going to beat you up with karate and reminds of of Kuma from Tekken. That's a whole different scary. http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/64885/64885,1197303788,1/stock-photo-black-belt-karate-expert-with-fi...

As much as I can't stop staring at wood's huh... little hammer. Fire's over-all outfit matches her face the best and seems to give off the most character. So +1 vote for fire.
Keep up the good work, your coloring skill is great.

Re: Talks about branding (or branding image?)
You want a name people will remember. Here's a interesting thing I observed. People remember dumb names more then cool ones. Example: If you pick something unique like "Epoch" and show a tower clock logo, people won't remember it. If you pick something stupid like "Hot Pink Pixies&quo...

Re: Dating sim vs. Regular VN
Do you think it's worth all the extra effort to make my first game a sim game? Or is a game with choices just as good to play? I'd stick with games with choices for now, simulation dating requires decent programing skills (at least the good ones does). To be honest, the reward is not great if done ...

Re: Are there any crazy but intresting anime intro out there
Maybe in the Japanese convenience store's like Uwajimaya in the Northwest part of America, but Pocari Sweat will not sell well in USA because of the name. Instead we have gatorade, and have 10-15 colors and artificial-flavors to them. Kind of sad how color-blinded we are to marketing. That is why ki...

Are there any crazy but intresting anime intro out there?
I'm looking for jaw dropping, somewhat crazy, anime intro videos for inspiration (preferably ones with a lot of attitude with aggressive art/music). I don't watch a lot of anime, so I'm hoping some of some you guys could link me some. Examples of what I'm looking for: Sayonara Zesubou Sensei ( Warni...

Re: Ethnicities on Lemma Soft Forum
I'm the typical 2nd generation Asian-American, both parents immigrated from Taiwan around 1980's. If I want to make myself exotic I can say they came from the island of "Formosa" which is basically the same thing if you Google it. I'm trilingual in English, Taiwanese, and Mandarin and mana...

Re: Original Visual Novel Festival
I myself just want to get exposure and feedback from a larger group of people. In fact, I'm guessing that's probably what a lot of you guys are really after (maybe a few of you are after the unknown donated prize). You guys could always modify a short demo from the original with the mini games/RPG e...

Useful indeed, just made a ctc. Helps a lot to let people know when to click, and who doesn't want a little flashing arrow in their game?
