Re: Whats your opinion on bad endings?

Bad endings are poopy, I just hate playing a VN for 2-3 hours or whatever and then end up with a bad ending, which seems to happen to me every time on my first play through. Going back and zooming through and getting additional endings after that is a bit of a let down and not as much fun as the ori...

Grats on finishing on time. I'll have to give this a shot when I get home from work.

Re: [Available] Freelance artist group for hire

Too bad your own VN failed, did you guys put alot of work into it? You should post some example resources for it, maybe a good writer can get inspired and whip something up for you guys, at that point, getting a programmer on board should be easy peazy.

Re: Recommend a Webcomic?

Wow, Susan, I thought your webcomic was cute. I bet it was pretty good practice to do that regularly. If you look at your first ones and compare it to your last ones, you can actually see alot of improvement. :) If you think about it, much like that forum post where that guy drew something every day...

Re: Recommend a Webcomic?

I'm shocked at how some of these artists have the free time to do 3 full-page, high quality web comics every week. Great list of comics there. However, if you look at ComicPress' showcase, you'll find a TON of poorly drawn webcomics. http://comicpress.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=330589597c5...

Re: Some useful/interesting links

Great tutorials, I bookmarked them all. Do you know of any that help you match facial expressions with body poses? That seems to be my biggest issue right now. Maybe I just need practice :(

Re: NaNoRenO for 2011!!!!

This contest is actually the perfect time to work on your art if you're not an artist. Since it's a short and quick game, doing your own sprites will be alot of fun and don't have to look good. This is kind of the reason I'm drawn to it. Force myself to practice drawing for a month. :)

Re: NaNoRenO for 2011!!!!

Too bad there isn't an official sign up sheet or something somewhere... that's just what I'll need to get motivated. LOL. I know what you're saying "If you need an official sign up sheet to get motivated then maybe you shouldn't do it." Especially since it's the 3rd right now. Those were g...

Re: Dragon Age

Not sure if someone mentioned this already... I played through the original DA on hard as a Warrior (easy peazy) and as a Ranger (a littl more difficult but not bad). But then I tried to burn through as a mage... wow... death fest... for me. I swear, I would fight a peasant on the street or somethin...

Re: Second hand material and game experience

I encourage the use of free BG resources. They're not as noticeable and if you were to hire an artist for those, it would cost you a fortune to get them done. However, as for the sprites, you can get those done fairly cheaply and they will likely be used a ton in your game, so the bang for the buck ...

Sketchbook Pro?

Does anyone use this or seen this in action? What do you guys think?

I saw some youtube videos for it and it looked pretty impressive (for drawing mainly, not so much for coloring or effects) and was curious if anyone has tried it.

Re: RockRobin - Band Manager (New Demo)

Played it for the first time and I have to say you made an amazing game. That was a really long demo! Practically felt like a whole game, hah. The script was very well done, as was the programming and directing. The game was so good that it (stop me if someone already mentioned this) left me wishing...
