I'm really liking Zim Wiki right now.
It's great because you can drop text into any page. So I've used it for ren'py format dialogue before. It's also useful for keeping stuff like your story notes and marketing notes all in one place.

Re: Tell a Demon | Have you ever wanted to outsmart a demon on a rainy day? | [Urban Fantasy]
Fixed some broken links. Going to post again with Tell a Demon/Asher related news somewhat soon. If you haven't played Asher (my first game), it's also on Lemmasoft, here , and it's free. EDIT June 05: Not going to post again because we're still on the front page as of this writing, but did add some...

Re: Do you think there is a market for non-anime visual novels?
I think it's more difficult. And I say this as someone who made a commercial visual novel in a Western/kind of classical painting art style. I probably wouldn't make another pure visual novel unless I adopted a simpler character art style for it. I still like visual novels with different styles, qui...

Re: VN's for smartphones: Portrait or Landscape?
Landscape offers more flexibility if you're also interested in making the game available for PC users. Portrait mode can be useful- it can have a nice feel, esp. if there is a modern setting in which phone chatting might be a part of the story, and I believe some games leverage this theme. (Popular ...

Re: What's the right response to learning someone is playing a pirated version of a game?
Sometimes people port Ren'Py games unofficially to mobile - in some cases they already own the games, they just want to play them on their phone. Then they have problems because the games in question were not designed to work on mobile. But if you know of the site where the person illegally download...

Re: Asher [Supernatural/Suspense/Urban Fantasy] NEWS, see last page
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it! :) How long has the Empress been dead? 100 years. :) I think it's alluded to in Asher and Tell a Demon, but probably subtly. What will that ship's explorers find beyond the bounds of the known? That's definitely explored in the game after Asher, Tell a Demon. If ...

Re: coding or art first?
Coding, probably. I say probably because if you already have the script or design written out, then you can figure out what art assets to make and can make some or all of them before coding it in... if you're very clear about what you want or if you're working with a team and everyone's doing everyt...

Re: Asher [Supernatural/Suspense/Urban Fantasy] REMAKE News, last page
Just a quick update, there's a new short story out, set before (and leading up to) the events of Asher. It's in a point'n'click format, but still has the dialogue choices and branching of Asher. You can check it out here.

Naninovel for Unity (no nodes)
I did a search and didn't find anything on this one in the forums, but apologies if there is a repeat thread. Anyway, Naninovel is a recent visual novel tool for Unity, very user friendly, you write in a text editor like with Ren'py while getting the benefits of Unity. https://naninovel.com/ Compari...

It's the web-based version, which is complete as is. Might be able to do a PC/Mac version later on, but have to move on for now.
