Re: Stop SOPA - USA members, please read

As usual, this will not even affect piracy (since pirates either run torrents or upload to sites based in Canada or Russia, where piracy is legal), but it'll provide plenty of methods for companies to attack sites that they don't like in America. Ehem...piracy is not legal in Russia they just don't...

Re: Stop SOPA - USA members, please read

Too bad I'm in Russia... this bill indeed goes too far. Like what, now they're watching for what I'm uploading? Pff, yeah and next they'll probably stand by me to watch what I'm downloading. But I actually interested in how they're going to check sites... just randomly click a link and check for any...

Re: Every Sunrise [BxG][KN] Sequel to Ripples

Ok, seriously. I'll just die from waiting for something for two months. First it was just Professor Layton 4, then it was Corpse Party and now it'll be this. Oh I know what's going on, everybody wants me to die! X__X Ok, now seriously. I'm glad to see that there will be sequel to Ripples as story wa...

Re: Sleeping inconsistencies

I was sleeping late since 7th or 8th grade. It isn't good for health actually but I just can't help it - now I just can't sleep till 3 or 4 am (if I'm not too exsausted of course). For now it's not a problem for me as classes in my university starts somewhere at 1 pm (it depends on which day it is. ...

Re: Stay healthy

(Oh, I know some tricks to make it looks like a suicide or accident ^^) [offtop] Well, good old hit to the head with a shovel works too. And you'll even have a tool to dig a grave! Yay! And remember one old joke: "He slipped and fell on the knife. Seven times." So be creative and don't ki...

Re: Question about engines

Programmers are growing soft these days! *mumble grumble* Hell yeah, use assembler, programmers =D Just joking. I'll never ever continue learning assembler. Noy untill my brain is fixed again after learning it for a while. I say there's no reason to make your own VN engine unless you're doing it as...

Re: Question about engines

Junker-kun, I still suggest you use the existing game engine instead of making one yourself ... I'm saying this because you're trying to make one with C++, that's one evil and dangerous program >.<. Well, I already have at least 90% of engine. It can show images, show backgrounds, use encryption, p...

Re: Stay healthy

@Mink: I used to be like that up until about three years ago. I could eat and eat and eat, and I never did anything, and I couldn't put on weight if I tried. Now...it's a different matter. Granted, I don't get plump just from looking at food, as some people complain (like my fiancé), but at the sam...

Re: Question about engines

If you follow their journal/news closely, you'll notice they often give (limited time) free upgrades for those who bought the previous version. Just like when they offered free upgrades from version 7 to 8 and 8 to 8.1. That way you don't have to re-buy GM every time a new version is released. Damn...

Re: Question about engines

Ah I see. Well you might want to look at Monkey (though probably is more difficult than gamemaker) since comes with a free HTML5 exporter: http://www.monkeycoder.co.nz Nah, I probably should just make engine with C++ since I know how to. I work with Game Maker only because it provides easy framewor...

I'll show engine when I'll have something to show (I mean when I'm done with the game). And if people will say it's a piece of well known brown substance... well, then I'll just use RenPy =)

Re: Question about engines

The problem here is that the user wants for free something rather unique... He said that the HTML5 gamemaker is not free... ok but is what, $99? or even $199? doesn't seem a big price to pay to have your game run EVERYWHERE (since now HTML5 really runs everywhere). I understand he probably does it ...

Re: Stay healthy

Okay, back to the topic. What do you all think about using pills for gaining weight or losing it? I know many people just have to use that things, because their metabolism just too slow or fast, they can't do anything about it. There're so many products that said 'natural', but what I know is that ...

Re: Which is better: high res 3D background or low res handd

While I prefer hand-drawn backgrounds 3D is sometimes faster to make (Yes, I do use 3D). Though if it's 3D renders IMO they should be at least filtered to look like hand-drawn picture. Well, if your game doesn't use 3D models even for characters lol. So I'd say use hand-drawn images. But don't mix i...
