Re: Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 13th, '11

So far the lean seems to be chibis only, so I think it's safe to go with that then. XD Thanks for the input, guys!

@Kay and SilverxBlue: Included you two both as proofreader and beta-tester, respectively! Thanks a bunch for your interest!

Re: [WIP] Maid of Midsummer - UPDATED JULY 13th, '11

Hey guys! Sorry about the lack of news, I've been super busy with work and finals, but now that exams are over, I'm back to working on the project. Also, I need some help from you guys again. :) I've been slowly coming up with the scenes for work and overtime with the various characters, nothing fin...

Re: Your first ever video game.

One of my earliest memories involves me as a young child sitting on my father's lap. I recall a TV with moving images, and a man with a red cap running around a brightly colored stage. Most of the time he would have a yellow cape, and he would be riding a green animal that would use its tongue to e...

Re: What is the modern resolution for a VN?

As a related question, what would be a "window" resolution that's comfortable these days? Personally, I would prefer 1024x768, especially since I don't have widescreen. To be honest though, One's Mileage May Vary, as there are plenty of people who do prefer window sizes of 800x600, along ...

Re: What is "Commercial"?

I don't have a problem with published titles personally, as I've bought plenty of titles from Hanakogames and Winter Wolves, more recently Super!63, and I've been more or less satisfied with their products. Besides, I think if a game shows quality and promise, I would be willing to support the creat...

Re: What makes characters likeable?

Hmm, so what babyfish means it making a dangerous situation and show how someone react? What if the story is kinda slice-of-life-ish? How can we find that unnoticeable quirks? :) Slice-of-life is still full of interesting situations that people can react to. Being late for class, bumping into a cru...

Re: What makes characters likeable?

ur avatar sux... That's a bit rich coming from someone without an avatar, or at least one that they've created themselves. What spurred on that comment, I wonder? I find characters likable when they show charming, funny, or adorable quirks. I tend to find that these quirks really stand out the most...

I think that'd be a little ambitious for my first game. XD But I'll see what can be done in future games.
