Re: Ideas Dump

There is a Japanese legend that an object that has lasted one hundred years, that has been loved and well used, will gain a spirit and become sentient. Combine this with antique shop, and you get the basic idea. I'm imagining things like a cool yet sexy swordswoman spirit for a katana, a slightly od...

Re: Project: Red Headed Tsundere (Working Title)

Project continues. One of the harder parts is incorporating new ideas that come up. If I'd wanted to do this as a kinetic novel, I could probably be done by now, but the problem is, that seems like a total waste, so although there is less choice than I'd originally come up with, there is more than I...

PyTom wrote:$ c = a - b

In every place where a or b is updated. (Trying to make this sort of thing automatic is actually the subject of my forum spam.)
It might actually be easier to do it just before every place that c is checked for. . . anyway. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: What are your favorites?

Death Note Live Action spoiler ahead Honestly, out of all the different iterations, I prefer the ending to the live action movie. First, it's L who defeats Light: I was so pissed off when L went down in the other two iterations, he was frickin' awesome. And he does so in a really awesome manner: con...

Re: Make it Moe! A Drawination Challenge

Yes, I put together an un-deck to mess with a friend who takes Magic a little too seriously. He had one of those fancy life-counters, and it was fun to see him try to indicate that his life points were 13.5. I'm much better at finding out ways to pervert the game, I can hardly play it normally. I'm...

Re: Questions: Single vs Multiple girls and Adult Content?

Regarding mosaicing: keep in mind, if you plan to host your game on DL site or something similar, that their forums are in Japan, and according to Japanese law, genitalia MUST be mosaiced or otherwise obscured. There are doujinshi that take "obeying the letter of the law" to a ridiculous l...

Re: Make it Moe! A Drawination Challenge

Pytom, that card makes my head hurt. Doesn't that mean that, like, unless you managed to draw two Little Girls and play them both at once, that you'll take half a point of mana burn?

Re: Characterization Based on Choices

An alternative is to have one true objective reality, but alter the player's perception by being selective about the information that is available to the player. Maybe Rolf only seems like a nice guy on the Susie path because you never see his true self. Or, alternatively, Rolf only seems like a je...

This is the cast of characters from Winnie-the-Pooh. They are heartwarming, but hardly moe. Make them moe.

I'd like to see what someone makes of the gross, smelly, spiny......DURIAN: http://img250.imageshack.us/img250/6117/durianuw6.jpg Durian-tan is a sweet, creamy girl whom some people say reminds them of almonds and custard. It's not her fault that she stinks so much that Singapore won't let her get ...

Let's try my (new-to-me) car, a 2000 Chrysler Sebring. http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/6355/sebringav1.jpg Kuraisura Seabring-tan is a spunky, sporty girl with a happy-go lucky personality, who is always happy to help her goshoujin-sama, Py-Tom, get from place to place. Re: Hard to believe but why can't I do maths?

All right, so here is a related question.

Let's say I've got two stats: A and B. And I want to use both A and B, but I also want a third stat, C, which is equal to A minus B. How would I set that up using the functions you describe?

Holy crap, a 10-girl eroge! That is quite a harem. Anyone know of a good article that explains the whole musume and -tan memetics best? I'm basically looking for something semi-academic level. Or maybe it's because these fall under the moe umbrella that's why they are not discussed separate...

Re: Make it Moe! A Drawination Challenge

Bonus points for further mint-tans, and for attempts to settle the question of whether Curiously Strong is better than the Freshmaker. Triple word score if you manage to work diet coke-tan into the equation. I see your triple word score and raise you a daily double if they also manage to include th...
