Re: Real Life: A Bishoujo Adventure
Pretty little Rena is a rising young pop idol. Even though she is Ivan's stepsister, they are not related by blood because their parents adopted her when her biological parents left her by the Ace family's doorstep when Ivan was only seven years old. She looks at Ivan as a protective older brother ...

Re: Real Life: A Bishoujo Adventure
Oh, forgot to choose an option above
Although it would be prudent to pick 1, Ivan is above all a VN nerd, so I think he would choose what any male VN protagonist would do, and hide the panties, perhaps for later use ...

Re: Ignosco's music (Pledge Drive)
I've been through some of my other compositions, but the only suitable one for a VN has become part of the soundtrack for another game. Apologies, as I thought I had some better tracks than those twelve to submit .

Re: Raidaa no Asahi [v1.0 released]
Congratulations on your release :) I tried to go through both the combats on Moderate, but I ended up dying on the final part of each stage, and downgraded to Easy (I'm terrible at these sorts of games). The gameplay design was effective for me, as there was no need to focus on ammunition/reloading,...

MW might fit the bill. (Although, did you mean comics in general, or just 'Western' comics?)papillon wrote:(And comics... are there any scary comics? Maybe some Batman issues.)

Re: Review Blog
Ok, so I shouldn't make deadlines for myself and expect to keep them . I've finally posted another game review (Yaruge Girl Triona), and hopefully the NaNoRenO 2007 article will be completed soon.

Re: EVEning Course (the LSF@5 game)
Thanks for this game :). As I played this without taking notes, and for the most part avoiding rollback, it came across as more of a language game, than a Ren'Ai VN. The explanations were very clear, and it was interesting to notice how similar much of the grammar seems to be to English. There are q...

Re: The Boy Who Loved Crows (Our First Project)
Sorry for not commenting on this earlier - I played it a little while ago but forgot to post  The most interesting thing about this story for me was the writing style. It almost seems to me that the story could stand by itself, without accompanying images, as it sometimes felt like the descrip...

Re: Lost Threads
I just finished playing this, and very much enjoyed it. Although the very opening of the story made it seem like a serious work (as did the description in the Ren'Ai Archives), as soon as I got to the 'Woe is me!' and 'Hooray BEER!' lines, it became clear that it was mainly comical. The overall swee...

Re: SHMUP
The system page (NWS) has quite a bit of information on the FPS side of Gun Katana. I've played the demos, though not the full game, and although the FPS is not nearly at the level of a pure FPS game it's still a lot of fun (huge numbers of monsters and bullets).

Re: SHMUP
There's only one game I'm aware of that's a VN/FPS - Gun Katana: Non-Human Killer by Black Cyc. By comparison, there are quite a few VN/RPGs, VN/TBS etc hybrids, which might suggest that a FPS/VN is the hardest/most time consuming/most expensive style of VN to program well.

Ignosco's music (Pledge Drive)
All of the following pieces are sketches of tracks for one of Mokenju's unfinished VN's. I haven't been able to contact her for several months, and i haven't seen her on the forums either, so I feel that it's ok to release these 12 tracks, even though they are still in an incomplete, embryonic state...
