90% of the people here making VNs are hobbyist, so there's absolutely no obligation for them to finish a project.
Its not like this is a job, where results are expected.
I would imagine if everyone here received a cut of salary for completing their project, completed VNs would increase 110%.

Re: What inspired you to draw?
I used to love watching cartoons as a kid and wished to be an animator after seeing a 'behind the scenes' promo on the disney channel. It showed artist drawing live lions in a studio, it was for the movie Lion King I think. I thought that was the coolest thing ever so I bought a bunch of drawing boo...

Re: What inspired/caused you to make VNs?

Re: Can you still remember how you found these forums?
I was doing a google search for easy to use game engines when I discovered Ren'py and it lead me to this forum where people post their creations etc. Ive been on these forums for about 2 years, the first year was spent lurking, then year two I finally decided to join and participate :P I don't play ...

Re: How did you decide on a team/studio/other name?
My company name is nothing exciting, I kinda wish I would have picked something a little more memorable and zingy but... since Im a lone developer its just my initials + soft, so I came up with "pd soft". My initials can form an interesting looking symbol when combined, so that was another...

Re: A Manga Title "Generator" (Possible VN/KN inspiration?)
Wow, this is addicting. I might actually use this! :o The ones I loled @ were: -Dawn Enchanted Cookies (when you eat these you're magically transported to a fantasy world?) -Shrine Maniac Panic (Probably about a shrine otaku that can transform into a giant mecha) -Farewell, My Student Ramen (lol, wu...

Re: What TV Show fandoms are you in?

Re: You know you're on Lemmasoft too much when ...
lol, I can relate.
When you think about something too much it resurfaces in your mind while sleeping
One time I dreamed about making a game, it got 1 million plays in a hour, then I moved to Japan or something.(lol) I woke up actually thinking this had happened.
...Dreams are weird.

Re: Something new in home-animation?
Thats really neat, I can already see all the possibilities of realtime mocap in games *v* Although its already around today, hardly anyone has used it for interacting with virtual characters. The technology has definitely become more and more accessible to the average person though. Today, on about ...

Re: What was the first visual novel you played?

The first real vn that I played and actually enjoyed was Phoenix Wright Ace attorney. Im still looking ...

Re: Writing, Art, Or Coding...What Do You Find the Hardest?
For me, writing and art are the hardest. They are both so subjective, when you take on either job, its much harder to see if something works or not. But out of the two, I struggle with writing the most. I always make tons of typo errors and never spot them on my own, which I guess is the importance o...

Re: Most Well Written Game You've Ever Played?
I'd have to say the Mass Effect series. Even though there's a lot of hate swirling around the last 15 minutes of the 3rd game, the other 100+ hours overall were the best game experience Ive ever had.

Re: "I'm buying an Android Tablet to Game with Ren'Py" threa
I'm personally using a rooted Kindle Fire. Nice, large 7" tablet and the closest thing there is to a Android "console". The $199 price tage wasn't too bad either. Anyone else thinking of releasing a game on the Amazon market? Edit: It also runs Midnight Walks perfectly but I have yet...
