Tailor Tales [GxB] Design clothes & dress-up. Beta 1.4 out! 100k words!
https://i.imgur.com/n0C92MF.png 4g7v1IrwRnk Tailor Tales has been my baby project since 2009, and has now undergone 3 revisions. What would first be a Harvest Moon like game, with an open and free overworld to roam around in, turned into a strictly Visual Novel game with elements of designing your ...

Re: Anime facial features references
Added a few new eye styles.
A good way to recognize male versus female eyes, is that male eyes are usually drawn more narrow, whereas females will have big and round eyes.

Re: Summer Found Me [GxB][Slice of life]
I downloaded it and tried it out, I didn't expect it to be very good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really cute. There were some things that bothered me, such as starting out the story with a crush formed already, the jarring CGs that were done in a completely different art style, and the i...

Tips on faster inking and colouring
If you're like me, and most other artists in the world, you hate spending 8 hours on a character, from sketching, to inking, to colouring (cel-shaded). You want to do it faster, but how? I've come up with a few tricks myself. I will ignore the sketching stage of this process, because this indeed bec...

Re: Where to get Royalty free photographs to use for VNs?
Any stock photography site will do (they've got millions of images, honestly), such as iStockphoto.com , Shutterstock.com , Dreamstime.com and even Gettyimages.com. I recommend Dreamstime, since they use credit-based payment (and you're lucky since you don't need a high resolution so you can get it ...

Re: Tailor Tales [GxB] [RPG] [100% free]
I'd love to do a Calvin and Roy meeting story as well, but that would mean heavy spoilers, so I can't :( With Bill and James I could get away with the bare minimum of spoilers, but with Calvin and Roy, you'd be spoiled of some pretty important things right from the start. Either way, James was a rea...

Re: Tailor Tales [GxB] [RPG] [100% free]
Ah, Akina.. this isn't a VN so you won't need any more than 4 files to get each "ending" she did say that this will now be open ended, you can play forever like Harvest Moon. (most in the series, anyway) Well technically, there's 5 endings, you're forgetting the fox ;) Either way, 4 save ...

Re: Japanese Honorifics Question
@OtomeWeekend: funny, LateWhiteRabbit posts an image that says when they refer to those without honorifics, it's really intimate, and then you come by and say they mostly do just that. Haha.
I'll never get honorifics.

Re: Megaupload down?
It includes a note that the DMCA does not provide safe harbor protection to a business that specifically knows files are infringing and chooses to do nothing about them - and the email records show that they were, in fact, aware. By that argument, YouTube should be taken down, too! As if they don't...

Re: Collaborative LSF VN Project (and I like you.)
I don't think the battle is a good idea. It still comes down to who would win. I think having each paired character go on a mini-adventure would lend itself to a lot more diversity and humor. Well yeah, that's kind of the point. It creates a clear-cut way to make the project: help the characters 'w...

Re: Collaborative LSF VN Project (and I like you.)
Have a setting, like a festival of some sorts, and then let people pick out characters from their own work, and enter them in the festival. Then they have to come up with a way to win the festival, and it's really just an all-out battle against other characters. Good for humour, and everyone gets to...

Re: Age Ratings for Games
I use fictionratings.com standards. I don't know how long it's been around I'm not sure how much street cred this thing has, but a lot of livejournal-based fan fiction writers I read use this standard. That's online fiction, and only applies to fanfiction.net and fictionpress.com (they used to use ...
