As long as we're bringing up free Japanese ren'ai creation engines: NScripter - http://www2.osk.3web.ne.jp/~naokikun/ Yoshizato/KAG3 - http://kikyou.info/tvp/ They are not graphically-oriented like LiveMaker, to be certain, but I believe that they are both full-featured versions and free to use. Re: A Question ^^:

Two: UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode byte 0x92 in position 677: unexpected code byte One of the first things I learned was to not Copy/Paste scripts from MS-Word, as it inserts UTF-8 (special character) quotes, just like PyTom said. However, if you're already getting the UTF-8 error, ...

Most likely not... it's one of those features I hadn't looked into, and therefore didn't realize was already supported. (I removed my "if it isn't already supported" line from the post, too...) If/when I start using the functionality, I'll keep an eye out for functionality glitches. Mod s...

Re: Post NaNoRenO Report

Also, I've been looking into moving the entire project into a different system I'm familiar with, as it supports true alpha channel transparency and has many features I've been missing. IIRC, you were using Ren'Py, right? Ren'Py supports an 8-bit alpha channel on images, provided the image file for...

Post NaNoRenO Report

Well, for the most part, since the end of NNRO, I've been taking care of some of the things that I'd been neglecting in Real Life (no, not Half Life, not Real Player, and not the web comic ;)). As far as ren'ai game projects go, I'm trying to decide what to move forward with next. There's the NNRO p...

The problem I'm having is that there aren't any styles to choose from, I basically know how to start the thing otherwise. I'm going to try to steal the style from the demo game right now. XD Just a thought... this could somehow tie in with the GraphicsGale software... but once again, I really can't...

Other ideas for improving music support (mostly here so I don't forget them): Allow a track to be specified for the game menu. Add a fade argument to start and stop, allowing people to control it individually. Perhaps some sort of music control system, that would let me say something like "wai...

I just got independent confirmation that the version of Princess Maker 2 in the EBay listing is, in fact, Chinese.

I believe there was a Chinese release of the game, so it is most likely a valid copy. However, it's not the version I was looking for.

Glad I was right. :)

I know... I couldn't even make out the rest of the characters in the title to do a proper Google search. :)
