"No money changing hand between creators" is a pretty clear indication that the answer to your question is no.

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

*sigh* I try to take criticism with a grain of salt, but after reading some serious criticism of my project I am feeling some doubt as a VN producer. It seemed like he was saying, "everything is wrong with this game, you pretty much failed". I know not everyone is going to like what I mak...

Re: What are some Do's or Don'ts in your opinion?

I'm the type of person who really wants to push the boundaries of storytelling... it's why I tired of writing novels, because it feels like there's very little room to experiment with the medium. Interactive media, like visual novels and games in general, still have a lot of unexplored territory. T...

It seems I'm going to end up violating this rule twice . . . don't hate me!

Re: What are some Do's or Don'ts in your opinion?

Do: Use a speller and grammar checker on dialog. Adding to this. Don't rely solely on a spelling/grammar checker to check your work. It'll be useful for catching most typos, but that's about it. There are tons of things that it will miss, and it won't teach you how to improve your ability to constr...

Re: The last book you read or what are you reading right now

Well, it's in audiobook form, so it's being read for me, but Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James. I haven't really read more than one or two contemporary takes on Austen (most entries in the field seem to mess up the characters for the sake of self-indulgent romance), but this book's been going w...

Re: On Forum Rules and Moderation

But that's the point I was trying to make. If you read further down, you see the Mad Harlequin was the one using an out-dated definition. If they'd done the proper research, they'd know that the absolute worst thing you can say to someone who has PTSD is "I don't believe you". How hard is...

Re: On Forum Rules and Moderation

My feelings of not feeling like I belong here as not a modern anime otaku...exacerbated by there being no space allowed to have off-topic discussions about non-anime things (which would allow me to see that there are others who share my interest here that I could collaborate with, be friends with, ...

Writing this draft has taken longer than I'd like, but I'll get myself unstuck eventually . . .

Re: On Forum Rules and Moderation

I do share the opinion of a few people here who say they feel ill at ease to post opinions. I have sometimes felt uncomfortable about posting opinions here, and in fact if we are being transparent and honest, I have already lost a great deal of sleep over this thread. (It was my choice to participa...

I, too, am intrigued by your concept (we need more stories about grown adults!), and I'll be waiting to see the finished product.

Re: Insane and cancelled

Anyway, ["Curse of Dogs"] was cancelled for being stupid as shit in concept. And I thought that was fine, till one day after a while I realized I leaned how to make pixel art for the sole purpose of making a game for people to play. I worked day in and day out on assets and they all went ...

Re: On Forum Rules and Moderation

Given that the topic which spurred this debate was about non-binary trans people (of which I am one), this apparently went poorly after several people criticized "they/them/their" pronouns (which I use) and then a ton of people latched on to trooper6 saying "I don't want to work with...

Re: Get that thing off your chest... Now...

Basically, my dad is now in a nursing home. With Parkinson's and Osteoporosis. And I only just turned 22 last week. So yeah. Yikes. Take care of yourself. Third, I didn't realize smoking too much, too early, too quickly would make you sick. I'm not saying this to preach, but smoking in general make...
