Re: Searching for a dedicated background artist

Who doesn't do things for free (and shouldn't, good for him.)
If you're not looking to pay the artist it's probably a good idea to lower your quality expectations a little bit...

Re: The most simple RPG code ($50 offer) [final update]

Firecat, I'm honestly unsure as to what you mean by 'organizing,' but the countless situations possible in a battle like this makes the system extremely convoluted. And please don't tell me you just want a basic engine because I don't think you know exactly what you want to see. Some things possible...

Re: The most simple RPG code ($50 offer) [final update]

Setting everything up is the easy part, Firecat. Actual battles are where it gets tricky. I really suggest you get a dedicated coder working for just this project if you want to see real progress. Good luck!

Re: [paid] anime style 3d sprite animator

First of all, I seriously doubt the link you provided is 3D animation (looks extremely 2D.) Second, it would really depend on how long the video is. Would you mind providing a bit of information about the length and the kinds of animations required? How about a synopsis or a description about the vi...

Re: Experienced Writer and Director for Hire

Not really. Swifdemon was in charge of the writing and Jeremy was just doing the programming part of things. I'd say his technical abilities are impressive but would be hesitant to say the same about his storytelling skills. On the other hand, I do agree--Doomfest's art was phenomenal. Aside from th...

Re: Experienced Writer and Director for Hire

Combatplayer and rtil. Jeremy has apparently given up on Gamedev entirely and Doomfest explicitly stated that he won't be doing Visual Novels anymore.

(also bumping this thread up to give it some more exposure)

Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm wondering if you have any unity experience (preferrably Unity 5.)

Re: Write for 18+ VNs for $0.04/word, on whatever you like

It's always a good idea to do some research before criticizing anything. So I did mine and here's what I found. It is precisely these kinds of companies (remember Sakura Spirit and Winged Cloud? ) that is ruining the reputation of this industry and is shunning potential talents away from the true va...

Re: Write for 18+ VNs for $0.04/word, on whatever you like

Seems I'm not the only one. When I linked my introductory thread to them, I was quite surprised to get a reply questioning my age with minimal regard to my abilities. I'm over 18, yes I am. These guys are really missing out on some potentially great staff members due to their lack of manners and onl...

Re: [Paid]Concept Artist for New Project

But the art is very subjective to the plot. If the plot isn't solidifed yet, I personally think recruitment is a bit overkill.

Re: Experienced Writer and Director for Hire

Updating this post since people questioned me recently with regards to my availability. I was indeed originally taken by a project and was planning to work with the team, but due to unforseen circumstances the team was disbanded and I do have a bit more free time in my schedule right now (apart from...

Re: Mahou Shoujo Mobile Game

Probably flash or Java might be better since it's not going for 3D. That's not to say Unity can't do 2D things though...but Unity might be a bit overkill for this one

Re: Experienced Writer and Director for Hire

I'd like to publicly acknowledge that I haven't made any decisions just yet but will be making one by this weekend.
As usual, thank you to everyone who PM'ed me--I received six invitations as of this writing.
