Thank you so much Yunou! It means a lot since I was (and still am) kinda insecure.

I didn't have a twitter, but you remembered me I should :p so here it is, will try to start updating soon-ish!

Re: Ladies, about the lack of "hentai" scenes with fem prtgn

Although they don't seem to be a huge niche, Japan has its fair share of R18 otome, and even more R18 drama CDs (I seriously don't get standalone drama CDs, porn or otherwise, but to each their own). EVNs do seem to have a distinct lack of R18 otome, although I don't know the reason. For me, sex sce...

Re: Of Ice & Snow [Drama] [Fantasy] [Romance]

1. Like Hazel, I feel like we don't know enough about the characters, but the conflict between the sisters seems interesting and believable. 2. I want to know what will happen to Anita, although the summary feels open. I think adding a goal, even if it's just going home, could make it more compellin...

Re: Pitching your VN

@Yunou I agree with you! Feels like too many VNs, including high-profile ones, spend too much of their summaries describing the setting before getting to anything I should care about. And thank you so much for the example, it really helped ♥ @Katy133 Thank you for the very detailed response! Yeah, ...

Re: Pitching your VN

That said, I'm assuming when you say "pitch" you mean just making synopsis posts on here or on your website. If you talking about pitching to a company or team to pick up your idea. That's a whole other game. =/ Ah, definitely. I just want to get it out there, not get someone to pick it up.

Pitching your VN

This actually comprises both a personal question and a more general one. Please feel free to comment on just one or the other. First, on pitching VNs versus pitching books. Books, at least traditionally published novels, tend to have a rigid structure for pitching to various people--there's a query ...

Re: How much do you look for assets?

I, too, think you might have a market there. What about offering each part (i.e. hair, skin, each color in the outfit) as different layers that can be recolored? Would do wonders for customization and not add any work unless you normally paint in a single layer. That said, since you also asked for o...

Re: Similar communities/forums/websites?

Artstation is great, though I wonder how many of its top level artists are remotely affordable for VN devs, haha... of course, there should be folks who aren't that high on the professional scale too so definitely recommend checking that out.

Re: Similar communities/forums/websites?

This is a great initiative! I'm always curious about where to meet creators and advertise one's project.

For commissions, I know many artists use tumblr as their main/only platform, but not of any good commission promo blogs. Suggestions anyone?

Re: Necrobarista [urban fantasy, suspense]

I'm digging this art style. Since anime, manga and VNs often have characters that are way more cartoony than their surroundings, I don't mind the difference in style between characters and environment. The animation is working well too and for a couple parts I'd believe if you told me the still fram...

Re: One Year of Apocalypse [RPG][Strategic][Greenlit!!]

It definitely looks interesting--and this isn't usually my cup of tea at all! I like how the backgrounds and GUI help create that sense of, well, something post-apocalyptic. I must admit I'm cautious since on top of needing a good story, a game like this needs good gameplay, but if the art is anythi...

Re: How important are trailers?

I'm finding it interesting to see how polarized opinions are on this subject. Personally I'm a sucker for fancy opening videos, interesting how some agree and some couldn't care less.
