Re: RPG Gamemaker Reccomendations?

I've only tried rpg vx maker. Even though I suck at coding its really easy and fun to use. Some people didn't like the chibi sprites and the blocky maps but you can change this with parallax mapping and just replace the sprites. Apparently the mapping system is superior in rpg XP but I guess the bes...

Re: The Evil Magician [short KN][a simple fairy tale]

kohaku pretty much had control of the storyboard, design, art, gui, etc. i expected something simple for a first vn, but his vision was really ambitious, and i was shocked when all these bgs and cgs started coming in. it was insane, heheh. Haha I was expecting a simple first vn aswell but the...

Re: The Evil Magician [short KN][a simple fairy tale]

Great game guys! Since this is Kohaku's first vn game, I'm amazed at the amount of art assets created. Kohaku you machine! :p I like the art style and the vibrant colors definitely added to the whimsical story book feel of the game. The story is well paced and entertaining, I wasn't bored for a mome...

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!

Everyone drew such adorable animals :D Except for me  I wanted to try out a painting technique where you load a paintbrush with 3 colours. Does anyone have any tips on how to open old paint tubes? The lid had dried tight...

Re: Sprite emotions: open mouth and closed or just one state

Hey Pep! Did you mean an animated lip flap like in Cinders? Its not really difficult but I found it just takes a bit of extra time to code it for every character for every emotion. But if your programmer is experienced they'll probably whizz through it.

Re: 30 Day Drawing Challenge [Closed] [Critique Welcome]

@Googaboga- I drew the boots for more boot practice ;)

I tried to do thicker lineart this time (6px) and this technique where you thicken every time the lines intersect. And with the colouring I just... well I don't really know xD I think the quality dropped when I attached it :s

Re: 30 Day Drawing Challenge [Closed] [Critique Welcome]

Part of me says I should start off with easier standing still poses to get the hang of anatomy. But then the other half says you know what would be fun? A running pose or a guitar player. Here is a WIP of Googaboga's character 'some chick'. This is my first time drawing a guitar and sitting down pos...

Re: Crest's Sketchbook

Here's your request Duskylli. Went for a simple flat coloring style and tried a sort of fish-eye angle so it's kinda distorted, I couldn't decide which character so I kinda just drew them all (well except Mishka's other personas) Hope you like it! :3 Also, TME was awesome, great job you guyss, look...
