Re: Leviathan (18+)
Hm, are you the creator or at least a member of the team making this game? Reading your replies on the reddit thread seems to indicate so and if that's the case then this thread can go back to the Completed Games section. That board definitely gets more traffic than this one does, I think. Watching ...

Re: Artist for hire (Character sprites, backgrounds, CG)
oops why do I keep forgetting to post D: While translating NatH, I found Meg' very easy to work with. She checked in with me everyday and made sure that the French version was accurate and as faithful to the original as possible. She was also open to our revision suggestions. I definitely recommend...

Re: Jacob's Island - (Fantasy)(Adventure) Kickstarted!
I've fallen behind on updates on this game but now that I'm caught up, everything looks great! I don't have the means to donate to it myself but I'll try my best to spread the word. You should already know about Obscura's thread on Kickstarting tips but here it is again . Also, you should probably t...

Re: Could an English VN do well in Japan?
On a semi-related note, Playism was looking for Western indie games to localize for Japanese audiences. I think they'll take both free and commercial games. Maybe someone might be interested in trying them out?

It should be noted that this thread was made back in May 2012. Not sure if DANCUBE is still around.

Re: How do I create a sprite?
Instead of getting used to SAI and then having the trial expire on you, you can try free alternatives like FireAlpaca. There's a full list of art programs and the websites you can download them from at the EVN wiki as well.

Re: The Hurtful Wall [GxB][Mystery]
Unfortunately, this seems to be like many projects on this forum, that start out with a lot of promise, and then the progress reports dwindle away until there are no more. Too bad, for I enjoyed the short demo and was looking forward to a completed VN. clua has many commissions and other projects t...

Re: Pep's Livestreams! (Tuesday Tutorial: Needs a Theme)
The stream was great, there was a totally cool frat apartment. It was epic.
IDK if you know enough about designing graphical elements or GUI to do a tutorial on that. I'd love to know more about shadows and lighting though u_u

Re: Window Show Transitions
Is this what you're looking for? ## Used when switching between NVL and ADV modes. config.adv_nvl_transition = dissolve config.nvl_adv_transition = dissolve Add this to your options.rpy along with all the other config settings. Your ADV and NVL windows will now automatically use the dissolve transit...

Re: Where Else To Upload Game File?
I hope people start moving away from using MediaFire to host their games, they've been starting to take down files for "copyright infringement" and the ads are getting annoying. That, and you have to complete a captcha to download more than one file in a certain amount of time. If you have...

Re: Professional Freelance Illustrator for Hire
I think you've got enough styles under your belt to cover most bases, there's enough to pick and choose from. That said, I hope someone hires you for your Pop Art styles; it'd be refreshing to have something new to look at. And you said you were open to a skill trade? I'll be sending you a PM >_>

Re: [Tutorial] CTC ~ Click to Continue Icon
Your codes are a little messier than necessary. To have a blinking CTC at the end of each line, use this code: image ctc_blink: "GUI/arrow.png" linear 0.75 alpha 1.0 linear 0.75 alpha 0.0 repeat define gi = Character('Giselle', color="#6699cc", show_two_window = True, ctc="c...

Re: Reviews for VNs
Maybe there could be a subforum for reviews too? I always thought that replies to Completed Games threads were supposed to be reviews, though I suppose they would easily get lost as more replies and pages pop up. I'm not sure how a subforum for reviews would be moderated either, I imagine things wo...

Re: Goodreads - A Place to Review Visual Novels?
Is there any sort of site dedicated to reviewing visual novels in the same way as goodreads? Hmm I suppose there's http://vndb.org/ Blegh, VNDB is heavily biased towards Japanese VNs. A quick check on their highest rated VNs shows all Japanese titles, and even though we can attribute that to budget...
