Re: Pseudonyms vs. Real Names

I have a hard time with trying to figure out how to separate things. I go by Miyuki because it's my middle name and it's what I prefer to go by when it comes to writing, but in general I would prefer if it was connected to my online persona instead of my real life identity. It gets kind of confusing...

Re: Time Management

I personally have to make outlines when I work. I'm pretty good at mapping things out in my head, but when it comes to actually getting it done, without an outline I don't get anywhere. I think that Auro-Cyanide's idea of a soft deadline is a good one. It's a way of gauging about how much work you c...

Re: Public Domain - Emotion signs

That's why I figured it would be better to just ask. Quite a few people explained their opinion of commercial despite it being included in their creative commons choice. Yup. People have got to be more careful when licencing their stuff! The main thing I was leaning towards was whether or not s/he ...

Re: Public Domain - Emotion signs

I'm releasing them under the public domain. Public domain works are defined as "whose intellectual property rights have expired, been forfeited, or are inapplicable," so in that context, it certainly sounds like you can use them for commercial works. If this isn't what the DeeKay wishes t...

Re: Public Domain - Emotion signs

These are awesome! At the moment I'm not in charge of coding anything, but I'm definitely going to keep these in mind for the future. Do you have any restrictions about commercial projects?

I forgot to read the year x.X I got confused about whether or not people from outside the country could download the files.

Re: Am I...

Awww, I really wanted to try this out. But Meg is down now, so... ._. Megaupload is actually banned in the United States, so it might not be down, but just completely inaccessible. I'd like to request a mirror somewhere? I'm not sure if horror is really my thing, but I doubt I'm the only American i...

Re: Culina: The Spirit of Cooking [BxG][Modern Day Sim/Strat

Just an update on the writing end for people~! The Spirit of Cooking is done with the story part of the writing. There's still coding to be done, as mentioned by netravelr, but we're getting there :] At the moment it's just shy of 12k words. There might be a last minute addition to change that later...

Re: Culina: The Spirit of Cooking [BxG][Modern Day Sim/Strat

Yay, we're on the second page now! I'll be done with the story part of the first game today so things are going relatively well on my end. Thank you all for your continued interest. You can see things like updated word counts and stuff on my end from my blog: TangerineTriangle or my writing twitter:...

Re: What's your internet connection like?

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2099603824.png Though at the moment the rest of the people in my house aren't online. We're never ever disconnected so downloading is kind of a pain for me. I don't like downloads that exceed 100mb. I prefer them around 50mb, but I don't mind using hj split or someth...

Re: Culina: The Spirit of Cooking [BxG][Modern Day Sim/Strat

For my two cents on the relationship thing, I'd say that the relationships in this game are not driven by romance. Just because you can have a romantic interest in someone else doesn't mean that that's the only thing you can do. As mentioned, we're inspired by the Persona games and in those games, t...

Re: Game Length

I agree with LateWhiteRabbit about almost everything she said in general. I'm actually struggling with this as well because to me, a story should be as concise as possible. Just like writing an essay the concision makes the words that are there more powerful. I'm not sure if this is because I starte...

Re: Stop! In the Name of Love! [Comedy] [Worst VN Ever]

I just finished playing this! It's hilarious. You did a great job! The music was perfect for the tone. I wasn't familiar with one of the references, but I could get the gist of it. Oh, was it the Fifty Shades reference? I'm finding a lot of people get that ending first because in the first set of c...
