Yeah, this tool will come in handy. Plus with the cloud services out there, like ubuntu one, dropbox, ect., I could link the updater to the zip file on my ubuntu one account, and bam!, everyone has access to that update.

Okay I was able to reduplicate my fluke( the one where all a sudden the game screen appears). I had to use the previous version's tutorial as my guide but I got it to work. I'll have a link to the video once I finish encoding it(GOD, MY COMPUTER IS AS SLOW AS HELL!!), I'll post it up for you to look...

Okay I got a bug as well....(Same bug as Camille, only I'm running ubuntu 11.04) I started up the tutorial from the SKD, and this is what I got. http://ubuntuone.com/p/1DCw/ It an blank game screen. I did hear the music and I was able to click around, but I was flying blind. The screen did come back...

My tools of trade switch between MyPaint, GIMP, Inkscape, and Google Sketch. MyPaint for concepts; Inkscape, and Google Sketch for layouts; and GIMP for the final touches.
